Vankyo Z4 Tablet Review
This is my honest review of the Vankyo Z4. I initially set out to buy an Amazon fire tablet, however one of the essential items I need with a tablet is google play services. With googles dispute with Amazon means that Google services are restricted on fire tablets, and need to be side loaded google which I do not have the time or knowledge to complete. The Vankyo Z4 then caught my eye, it offers fully integration with google play services and offers the latest version of android, perfect! However, I must admit I was a little apprehensive buying an unknown brand, with an Amazon product page lacking details, but I took the risk.Vankyo Z4 Design and BuildThis Vankyo Z4 has been orientated to be held most comfortably in landscape mode due to the location of all the controls, although you can still use it in portrait mode if needed. The front is a solid piece of glass with a bezel around the edges of 14mm on the left, right, and bottom edges, and 16mm bezel along the top edge which also contains the front camera. The back is made from a single piece of plastic and contains two speaker grills and the rear camera that comes with flash. The top edge of the tablet contains all the ports and controls, from left to right you have: micro USB charger port; micro SD slot; 3.5mm audio jack; volume up/down button; on/off button; and a reset port. All the controls are intuitively placed and are easy to reach during use. The tablet is surprising light at only 484 grams, it can easily be held with one hand with no strain on your wrist. The tablet feels solidly built and the materials seem durable. The tablet will not win any prizes for its looks, and the back piece of plastic does feel a bit cheap, however this is fully expected for a budget range tablet.Vankyo Z4 ScreenThe Vankyo Z4 features a large 10.1inch display, which adopts a 1280 x 800 HD IPS screen. At first use the screen seemed dull however this was due to the brightness setting, once adjusted to maximum brightness the display was vivid and clear. Web browsing and watching videos all appear to good quality and the colours display well. Having the larger screen makes browsing the web much easier, there is more space to see everything and a lot less scrolling required compared to a smartphone. The addition of the “eye health” setting on the tablet is a great feature; it dulls the screen slightly to a pink hue and noticeably reduces the strain on my eyes during the evening hours. The only slight disappointed with the screens performance was during bright sunlight which effected the display making it noticeably duller and hard to read.Vankyo Z4 Processor, Memory and storageThe Vankyo Z4 is fitted with an ARM v8 quad core 1.5GHz up to 2GB RAM. The Geekbench performance score for Multi-Core was 995 for the Vankyo, compare this with an Amazon Fire 7” tablet which scores 1196, this suggests the Vankyo Z4 is slightly lacking on performance. During web browsing and using basic apps such as Facebook the Vankyo performed well with quick load speeds. However whilst using gaming apps the Vankyo started to slow down and froze on a few occasions.Storage is very good for a budget tablet as it contains 32GB, which is expandable up to 128GB if you add a microSD card.Vankyo Z4 ConnectivityAs you would expect from a budget tablet the Vankyo Z4 does not support a cellular connection, nor does not support NFC. There is also no GPS however it is possible to use apps such as Google Maps using Wi-Fi scanning.Aside from this you’ll find Bluetooth 4.0 and 2.4G Wi-Fi. During the past week testing the tablet the WI-FI connection had been reliable and I have not experienced any WI-FI drop out.Vankyo Z4 CameraThe Vankyo Z4 has two budget cameras, the front facing 2MP camera, and the rear facing 8MP camera that features flash. The camera app is very basic, there is no HDR, and no filters, although you do get flash on/off and a timer!Vankyo Z4 BatteryInside the Vankyo Z4 is a 4500mAh lithium polymer battery. The Geekbench 4 battery test recorded a complete discharge time of 4 hours 34 minutes. Of course the actual battery time you will achieve depends on the apps you run whilst using the Vankyo.Vankyo Z4 Software and AppsThe Vankyo Z4 best feature is that it comes fully equipped with Google Play preinstalled. There are no blot wear apps, no adware, just the basic google apps are present. Downloading apps via google play store is a breeze. The Vankyo even features a UK QWERTY keyboard straight out of the box.The Vankyo Z4 runs off the latest version of Android 9.0 Pie. The only addition to the Android package is Vankyo’s custom hot key bar at the bottom of the screen which features: volume down; back; app; home; volume up and camera shortcuts. This menu bar works well within the tablet and soon becomes second nature to use. The Android operating system is very intuitive to use and allows you complete freedom of which additional apps you can install.Vankyo Z4 VerdictThe Vankyo Z4 is a great budget tablet, you get a robust tablet with a large 10in screen that is perfect for web browsing and social media. It’s best features are it’s Android operating system and the presence of Google play store. It’s performance may disappoint some, but for less than £100 the Vankyo Z4 ticks all my boxes for a solid 10in budget tablet.

A good tablet under £100 !
Bought this as a replacement for my old Fire 10 tablet. It was a good one at the very first but soon I found it a “moving Amazon Advertiser”. All the ads pushing me to become their Prime or asking me to order Amazon products here and there, now and then, were just SO annoying that I decided to give up with the ‘’Fires’’ and go for an android tablet where I can download apps from Google Play easily. After so much comparison, I went for this one. I haven’t had too many expectations on this tablet below 100 pounds. But it just ticked all the boxes. This tablet arrived the next day I ordered! It runs the Android system 9.0 pie and the performance is brilliant considering its price. It has a big storage of 32GB where I could keep thousands of books and videos for me in transit. I added a 64GB micro SD card to make the storage bigger (you can actually add a 128GB card). My kids have been so happy because they could easily find their gaming app in Google Play instead of scratching their head in figuring out how to install it in the ‘’Fires’’.One big surprise is its 8MP rear camera. I haven’t noticed that until I tried the camera and found out the picture quality is better than that of any my previous tablets with just 5MP rear camera or 2MP. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack with which I can better enjoy audio-visual.This is a very good choice! 10.1 inches! Satisfied my daily life, simple entertainment. I did not find matching tablet case for it at first but the Vankyo customer support team has been very helpful in answering all my questions and instructing me to find the case. Thanks!

android 9,0
surprisingly effectively combine low-cost price tags with a fairly high quality characteristics. Especially convenient is that the inexpensive tablet remains thin, light and portable. If you're looking for a device that lets you stay productive on the go, or want to watch videos and movies on a larger screen than your phone, then these tablets are a great choice. Good design. A great choice if you consume a lot of content and want to look great, but are not going to put the price of a good laptop for a tablet.perhaps is one of the best Android tablets you will find with this price tag , especially in such a compact form factor.the design offers a much more controlled tablet for one hand, and the new speakers provide better sound, now they are located at the bottom and back of the tablet.good battery, Autonomy is also sufficient, it all depends on how much time you are going to spend behind the device. Two or three hours a day should be enough for a couple of days.

Absolute rubbish
I have written 2 bad reviews for this really bad product, but neither have made it onto the reviews page! Interesting! Let's see if this one does. I am really disappointed. I know it's cheap, but it is not fit for purpose. The screen scratched on the first day so I bought a screen protector immediately. After a couple of weeks the first crack appeared on the screen, now it is cracked and crazed all over and the screen is unresponsive. I tried to write this on the tablet but was unable, as I could not even write 2 words. I tried to write Absolute rubbish, but half the letters would not take, nor the full stop or space bar. Save your money and buy something else.
