Computational Science and Engineering

Excellent resource for Computer Science and EngineerIng
This book has been framed as a great companion to 18.085 and 18.086. It is true. But somehow a limited description .I think Strang did a fantastic job creating a useful book but also highlighting the beauty of math. This book is from 2007 but I think is great from a very contemporary point of view. You would find a great explanation of the math behind data science problems and statistical analysis in a very condensed language, passionately explained but with no fluff. If you are in a hurry and just want to decipher the math in other books like Hastie ESL or Bishop’s book, this is your book. If you want to deep dive and solve yourself a conjugate gradient problem, you get that too.Considering all the things that Strang and MIT are giving for free, I am happy to pay for this book.Highly recommendable for people that want to go the extra mile in computing science.
