LUXE Barcelona (LUXE City Guides)

Love the size of this book as it was easy to carry in a small travel purse and keep with you every day. We pulled it out in each neighborhood we wandered into for shop, snack, and site recommendations. An asset if you plan to walk the Barcelona neighborhoods.

I get these for every major city in Europe I visit, and they are well worth it.

This isn't the guide for you if you're new to a city. This isn't a guide to you if you want a map. This isn't a guide for you if you want something you can use as your only resource...so what does that leave? This is the guide for you if you know a city really well. If you know the areas, the streets, and the landmarks. This is a guide for you if you're willing to use another guide as a map and this one as the best listing for any restaurant in the city. This is a guide for you if you want to get off the tourist track, and you're willing to work for it. I think this would be best if you were able to plot the locations out on a map beforehand (or hey, maybe the guide makers could do that!) or if you could pair it with a cell phone. With a map. We used the guides mainly for restaurants, and they were great. Every time we ate at a restaurant from the book, it was a delicious meal. After maxing out on the amount of tapas we could eat, we turned to this guide for delicious Italian and Brazilian/Japanese restaurants, and they were just perfect!

Excellent

I ordered this book nearly two weeks before we flew to Barcelona using 2-5 day super saver delivery. This should easily have been enough. In the event it was waiting my return. I ended up having to buy the iphone app as well. It's a good guide but dissapointing delivery
