This was a perfect fit for my 7-year-old recessed light. It was a hard-to-find item at my local hardware store, but installation was easy and the quality seems good. The brightness level is just right and matches the original almost perfectly. Time will tell about the lifespan of these LED lights, but I will probably order a few extras to have on hand when replacements are needed. I am not sure how long this style of LED bulb will be stocked, since the market seems to be shifting toward replacing the entire unit instead of just the bulb.

I've had these in service for 3 years, and they are still working reliably in a vent-a-hood above-stove hood setup. With the hot weather here, I really appreciate how cool these run. The halogens I replaced ran at about 280F, and these run at 110F, so barely above body temp. The halogen ones turned the metal hood into a heat source of its own, which was unpleasant. The light quality is slightly cooler than the halogens, but not harsh. They also respond perfectly to the 2 different light levels when switched to high brightness. Would purchase these again.

These bulbs are mostly excellent:-They are very bright. Brighter than I expected. Perhaps the old halogen bulbs these replaced were just old… but we can see what we’re doing in the kitchen now.-The light output temperature seems slightly off… (they are a bit cooler than two other brands I have nearby.)-Out of the three bulbs in the package one of them had a frequent flicker on/off strobe like effect. And because of the way lighting is run the flicker impacted the other bulb as well. (If you have this same problem remove one bulb at a time until the flickering stops.)

About 6 years ago when I finished building my "dream" house, I had a range hood that was expensive and beautiful, BUT, it used Halogen lights and I'm an efficient freak and wanted LED's Well, back in 2015 or so, the choices of LED's were very limited but I found some and was so happy to order them. Then I installed them and got enough flashing to throw a strobe party. It simply didn't work unless one of the lights was the original halogen. Fast forward to 2022 when I decided to scan them interwebs again for newer lights and maybe they'd say something about "no flicker." These said just that and after a few reviews, I thought, this might just work. And Voila! They work great!!!! No flicker and the light is not only brighter than the halogens but a much better color white so it doesn't make food like yellow. I'm sure I could have found these or similar a few years back, but I just got around to looking now and am so happy I did. Oh, how technology evolves.

These work perfectly with our kitchen hood! Easy to install and perfectly priced. Just remove the old halogen bulb by using a rubber glove or pad, press it to the left, bulb drops in your hand, insert new LED, and click in place by turning to right.

The cheap bulbs that came with our GE range hood fell apart after 6 months. The lenses for the bulbs literally dropped out right into my pan while cooking, and it happened to all of them over time. I had superglued the first couple but after the 3rd I decided to order these to replace them. They work great. They're clearly better made and give off the same energy-efficient light. Our hood has two brightness settings and this works on both just fine. I find the Bright White is perfect for the stovetop, not too white, not too yellow. If they last for a good long time then when the time does come to replace them I'll go with the same brand again.

so far. I have some reservations, but untill I see evidence of failure, this will get 5 stars. I have Broan QP430SS range hood that I purchased in 2017. The yellow and extremely halogen lights that came with the unit finally burnt out. These lights are bright (package says 3000 K). It is so much better than the yellow light...I can see my food that I am cooking! To be clear, the operating temp range on the box says -4F to 113F (-20C to 45C), so I have read that range hoods could get as hot as 60C and 70C. However, I could not find much information listed on websites about operating temp ranges, but I thought I would mention this caveat. In terms of older version or basic version, I still don't get it cause I ordered old version and the basic version is what was sent and looks the exact same. These are a GU10 base but a MR16 bulb size replacement. Lastly, the dimmer does work, but it is not that noticeable between the three levels. The lights do stay on for about 2-3 seconds after power goes off, but the lights do go off.
