does this work for passports?

You wouldn’t want to carry your Passport when walking in a foreign country, that is why it’s best to also have a Passport Card, which would fit.

Can the clip be removed?

The clip part is attached to a piece of fabric sewn onto the rest of the wallet, so it wasn’t meant to be removable, however you can remove it if you are ok with cutting the seam off of that fabric piece. Personally, I keep the clip on mine because it’s an convenience feature to be able to clip it on the waist of any bottoms I’m wearing regardless of weather they have pockets or belts and I can clip it onto the inside, giving higher theft protection.

It is very durable just be careful, the clip broke on mine.

Will your car still work if you ley fob is still in it?

I did it once and it worked for the Keyless entry of my Dodge vehicle — I honestly forgot it was RFID until I opened the item on Amazon today to buy another one for my wife.
