the fan with my original order went bad after 3 days. It was the same manufacturer as what came with the laptop. Contacted service, they sent a replacement immedatily.

Fan was initially acceptably quiet but after ~60 days of use one of these two fans was causing vibrations and more noise than it should have and required me to seek another replacement.

Fans were a perfect fit and quiet.

Edit: Fans rattle and seem to be failing after a short time. Very disappointing. Original: When I went to change out the fans in my MSI Apache, at first look I thought the fans were wrong. But after I took the whole heat sink assembly apart and while the part numbers were different, the manufacturer is the same and the fans fit perfectly. I was having loud screeching noise from my computer and temps up to 93 degrees C. (200F). I replaced the old ones with these, and this is what I noticed: 1) I could feel a lot of airflow. Hasn't been like that for a while. I guess I forgot what it did when it was new. 2) Quieter. No where near as loud as it was the past year. Again, its like new again. 3) Cooler. I bought a high-end thermal paste. The old paste was really in bad shape. I cleaned the exhaust ports. There was a lot of stuck-on junk. One thing I have an issue with is that the bottom case is cracking, I think from age as I don't drop my computer. So taking the bottom off make the cracks worse. Just a thing to look out for. There is a difference, I received fans labeled as: N285, not the N304 of the Amazon picture.

Uno de los ventiladores (creo que el izquierdo), directamente no encajó bien. El derecho entró bien. Pero son muy de baja calidad, la potencia de los fanes es prácticamente nula, muy decepcionado. Me sirvió en mi caso porque necesitaba reemplazar solo uno, pero si necesitas los dos NO LO COMPRES.

These fans are roughly equivalent to the stock ones. I couldn't get one of the holes to line up with the stock shrouds of my MS-16j5, but with 2 of the 3 screws it's running fine. The dead GPU fan is now mended and I'm rockin' my laptop with full functionality again. As a bonus it rums much cooler now than it did before I lost a fan, though I highly suggest you also replace the thermal paste of the GPU and CPU if you want similar results.

I got these to replace the left side fan in my MSI GE72. Figured I'd might as well do the right side while I was in there, even though it was still behaving. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell the size difference until I removed the old fan, but the fan that was send is too thin to work in this model. I will need to return these and will probably go directly through MSI for replacement fans.

They work, but are very low quality. Any slight vibration, including typing on the keyboard results in the fans rattling. After reseating the fan and casing, the issue persists.
