The quality from Rx Vitamins has been very consistent in terms of appearance and freshness; I pay a lot of attention to these things and I think they are a great company.Buying these on Amazon has saved me literally hundreds of dollars because they are more than twice as expensive at my vet's office.I encourage anyone with a beloved pet to research and commit to the best care that you can offer them if they receive a chronic and debilitating diagnosis (and beforehand!). I was absolutely devastated when my dog was diagnosed, but attention and steadfast commitment to doing my best for her is really paying off in her current quality of life.

My German Shepherd is nine years old. I've taken great care of him, but the cruel reality of the Universe is that dog lives are fleeting, so I've been heedful of him and his needs, and I started giving him this kidney supplement at 1/2 the suggested dose a little over two years ago to hopefully prevent him from having kidney issues.For his last two yearly vet checks, his geriatric blood panels have been perfect and his kidneys shoe zero signs of trouble. Plus, it has n-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) in it, which I take myself for back pain, so I'm sure he's getting relief in his hips and back just the same.

I noticed my dog after a 1/2 bottle (2 capsules, twice daily) no longer needs to wake me in the middle of the night to go #1. Works better than prescription renal food imo so far

Regarding a 2021 review, noting an inactive ingredient of titanium dioxide: I've uploaded a photo of RX Renal Canine ingredients.Also, my elder +15 yo dog, knocking on death's door, with an enlarged liver, has been taking this RX capsule (in a pill pocket) and canine CBD for 40 days; her appetite has improved, her bodily functions are normal, her pain appears minimal and we live one good day at a time.Though labled for renal (kidney) support, this RX (120 caps @ $36) contains milk thistle (Silymarin 80%) for wildly used for liver support, found at the same level in the veterinarian prescribed med, Denamarin (30 caps @ $31).

Rx Renal Canine is part of my daily arsenal for fighting the advanced kidney disease my dog has been dealing with. I use it in conjunction with home cooked, commercial low-Ph diet, and Aluminum hydro gel (Ph binder). My dog has slowly managed to recover some of his health, and is doing a lot better. I called the manufacturer of this supplement with a question about use (can we open gelcap to sprinkle), and they were friendly and helpful to deal with.The capsules are standard/large sized, and the taste of the powder is mediocre (I tasted it). For a picky dog, you would need to either hide it in cheese/PB, or open and mix with something. My larger dog (lab) just scarfs it up with his food.As this supplement is part of a regimen, it is hard to make a scientific conclusion, but it has helped bring my dog back from the far-far-away advanced kidney disease, to somewhat more manageable and palatable numbers.

Must have been back ordered, but came when they said it wood. Seems to help the dog, so worth the wait. Will just reorder early next time.

My dog was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney failure more than a year ago. He has been on this supplement since the diagnosis and his kidney values remain unchanged, no further deterioration in his kidney function. He is now 14 years and 8 months old.
