No instructions in box. How do you fit it?

What is the diameter of the fixing covers

External measurement of the round fixing bezels: approx. 55 mm; whole unit projects approx. 80 mm.

What is the Weight bearing ?

There are 2 types of chromed rails in my bathroom. The type that you slide your shower head up and down, this is thin metal and would probably bend if you leaned on it. The other is like this H.G. It’s made of thicker chromed steel and has bigger,stronger holes for wall fixing. You can pull up, within reason, or use it to steady you when getting in or out of shower.
