This penne cooks up with a surprisingly normal pasta texture and works great in sauces. It’s a nice alternative when you want pasta night but prefer more fiber and fewer net carbs. I’ve used it for baked dishes and simple olive oil/garlic meals and it holds up well. Great pantry staple if you’re balancing comfort food with nutrition goals.

I'm on a diet and every calorie counts. I took a chance on these noodles. I paid $36.99 for 6 boxes of penne! I am so happy I did! They are great! Really, can't tell at all they are reduced calorie noodles. I made broccoli alfredo. The Classico 4 cheese worked great with them. I made 3 large bowls at 285 calories each. I'm hooked, Well money spent. I will continue to buy them in a regular rotation. One box took 12 minutes to cook. My sister is diabetic, I gifted her 2 boxes. Low carbs and high fiber. She can enjoy pasta again.

This pasta is REALLY good with far fewer carbs for those of us on a low carb eating plan. It takes longer to cook (about 18 minutes) but it is very tasty and very filling. I only eat about a half cup at a time (with sauce) and it is very satisfying.

Just tried it tonight and it's fantastic! I was able to get it to a perfect al dente, it holds together and doesn't crumble, and tastes almost exactly like regular pasta. Pasta is one of my favorite things to make, so I'm excited that I found this brand so I can keep enjoying my favorite dishes while still in a calorie deficit, not to mention all the fiber it gives you.

Good: 1) This product is the closest to real pasta of any of the pasta substitutes I have tried. It is so nice to have pasta without the carb loading, helping to lower insulin rates and packing on the extra sugar as fat. 2) This product contains more fiber than any other pasta substitue , making you feel much more full than regular pasta and since it slows down digestion, it keeps you feeling full for a much longer time. Bad: 1) 20 times more expensive than regula pasta. A dry, precooked pound of normal pasta produces a lot more food a dried, 1 precooked pound of this pasta (since this pasta absorbs much less water). So not only are you paying 10 times more per pound for this pasta (literally, $0.90 an ounce for this pasta versus less than $0.09 an ounce for regular pasta), but this past produces less half what regular pasta would per pound. That makes this 20 times more expensive than regular pasta. Summary: If you bring down the price of this pasta, it would become a regular staple for me. Until then, I doubt I will be buying often, if ever.

I have been a fan and occasional customer of FiberGourmet, way back when they used to have their fiber cakes/brownies - whatever happened to those, anyway??? Anywho... I have not been let down yet. I have been doing the low-carb/keto diet/lifestyle on and off for years now and I cannot tell you how many low carb pasta options I have tried - spaghetti squash, konjac noodles, shirataki noodles, miracle noodles, oat fiber noodles, zucchini noodles, other vegetable noodles, hearts of palm noodles - I can't stand any one of them. I decided to be honest with myself and tell myself that if I want pasta, I'm going to have to sacrifice some carbs, but with FiberGourmet, I don't have to sacrifice all of them because of the high fiber content, which I ALSO love! This pasta tastes exactly like pasta because IT IS pasta. It isn't something TRYING to be pasta, and it isn't a "replacement" pasta - it really, truly is just pasta with more fiber and less carbs/calories. It's amazing. You can't tell the difference. Know why? Because it's pasta. I will never stop loving FiberGourmet. Flavor and texture is good, and the value for the money is good as well.

I appreciate all of the research into lower calorie/carb items and am happy to give five stars for that. This pasta was OK for the eye to see in my pasta sauce instead of skinny noodles that are also low carb but it had a bit of weird texture to me almost like paper or something. Maybe I should have heated it in the pasta sauce to add more of the sauce flavor, not sure but the taste and texture was off.

I have these on subscription because they are that good. They are lower in calorie and taste like normal pasta so why not incorporate them into weekly meals? Pasta is so filling and with the lower calorie count, I don’t feel as guilty eating it often.
