Eiko 18014 Q50MR16/CG/41/24 Solux Halogen Bulbs

Solux bulbs are the best MR16 low voltage bulb on the market. I refuse to use any other bulbs. No LED I've used is anywhere near as clean and beautiful, despite my interest in converting to LED. Solux 3500k allows your gray wall to look gray (not greige/beigh due to 2700K yellow bulbs), and any artwork to look natural, as opposed to overly warm or cool skewed. I wish I could buy Solux in every other bulb format like G9 and GU10, but they don't exist.

If you do your research, you'll discover that many museums use the SoLux brand of bulbs to light art and pictures. These bulbs provide terrific daylight type light, and this particular 24 degree bulb will provide you a medium beam of light. From 10 feet away on the ceiling the bulb lit my wall with about a 40 inch-wide circle of useful light. The 4100K temperature on this bulb provided white light which was slightly cool, definitely not warm like the 3500K bulb also available from SoLux. I prefer the warmer colors of the 3500K to the 4100K bulb to display artwork.
