❄️ Chill Out with the Ultimate Cooling Solution!
The GeeekPiFan is a compact 30x30x7mm DC 5V brushless CPU cooling fan designed for Raspberry Pi models 4, 3B+, 3, and Retroflag NESPI CASE Plus. It features a whisper-quiet operation, efficient heat dissipation, and comes with 7 aluminum heatsinks equipped with thermal conductive adhesive tape for easy installation.

quiet fan, brought down temps 20 degrees C
Simple and quiet fan. I had the passive copper heatsink installed that came with my original RPi 3B+ kit and running nothing but pi-hole had temps stable around 65-68C. The kit being reviewed comes with several aluminum heatsinks of varying sizes. I didn't change the copper sink on the CPU but added heatsinks for some of the other chips on the board and positioned the fan over the CPU (my RPi case has a riser for mounting a fan. This kit comes with some mounting screws but there are no screw holes on the RPi 3B+ board itself, so you may need to mod your case in some way to mount the fan). Running at 5V and it's silent, and my temps have dropped to 44C.

Great fans
I was building a cooling pad for my iPad Mini for when I use it in the cockpit. iPads are notoriously effected by heat while flying and have a large propensity for shutting down at awkward moments. I bought these fans to help alleviate the issue and they work as expected.

reliable and still running
These run 24/7 on my Raspberry Pi setup as a Pihole for my home network. They are completely silent when plugged into 3.3V. Heatsink combined with the fan (which I ziptied onto the board) lets the board sit at about 40C (104F) in operation (room temp is about 23.8C / 75 F)Still running as of 1/2025, has been on 24/7/365 operation since 10/2023

Cooling fan
A neat little fan. It was needed for my Raspberry.

It's 6 bucks, you're getting a 6 dollar fan.
I'd like to echo some comments around here, the fan can be noisy. The caveat is, it's noisy when plugged into the 5v pins. When on the 3.3v it is much quieter. I don't have hard data on the impacts of reduced RPMs, but so far it has been fine for my headless little plex server.Secondly, people talk about the size. I don't know anything about any case other than my own, so I'll say: it fit my case perfectly. That case being the one included with the Canakit. Didn't even need the screws and bolts, as it clicks right into there. I added some rubber O rings I had laying around just to dampen the sound a little more, but I'd wager they did approximately nothing. So yeah. 5 stars, it is exactly what it is. Don't expect a miracle for 6 bucks and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Great add-on for RetroFlag cases
This product works excellently with a Raspberry Pi 4 in both the RetroFlag NESPI and RetroFlag PiStation (PlayStation clone). Two larger heat sinks are fairly easy to install. Two smaller heat sinks are best installed with tweezers/pliers to align them properly in the tight spot. Drops temp 30F/16F.

Lowered Orange Pi 3 LTS temps by 15C
These aren't an exact match for all the chips on an Orange Pi 3 LTS but they're pretty close. I used the black 14x14 heatsink on the SOC, the 12x12 copper plate on the RAM, the 15x19 heatsink on the eMMC, and the 7x7 heatsink on the Wifi+BT chip. Then I rested the 30x30 fan on top of the SOC heatsink while also fastening it to the back of the ethernet port with double sided tape. The Allwinner H6 SOC used to run over 70C before, and now it's sitting at around 55C. I use my Orange Pi as a 24/7 pi-hole server so I'm much happier now with the temps even though the fan isn't completely silent.

Works and fits with most cases but a bit noisy
These fans work fine for cases looking for this size. However, they are fairly noisy. I'm not sure how long the bearings on these will hold up before the fan freezes. Should be OK for us hobbyists, but for a commercial or industrial application a fan with proper bearings might be a better idea. For the money and my use case, I can't complain.
