A bit of a let down. It will capture video, but quality is noisy.
I don't know, I'm trying to use it with RCA composite video, straight from the output of a VCR. The video flickers and goes black and white. It makes it appear that it's copy guarded, but these are regular VHS video tapes taken in the 80s and 90s, some of them are 1957 - 1976 8mm film home movie transferred to VHS, so they aren't copy guarded, they look fine on TV, but fed into the computer through this, and it's unusable. The BLAZE HDAV 6 video capture software that came with it, isn't very good. There are breaks in the final output file, where it appears that the video was cut and spliced, causing seconds to be dropped from the movie.I'm not going to recommend it.You'd do better to buy a DVD Recorder, and use it for your transfer, and then rip/extract the file from your DVD you created.

Converted VHS tape, made blurry ASF files
I bought this to convert old VHS tapes to MPEG files using my desktop PC which runs Win7 Pro (64bit). It installed fairly easily. When I tried it out, it produced a Windows ASF file (not MPEG). That did not bother me(even though it would have been nice if they could have told me this before I purchased the adapter), as I can convert the ASF files to MPEG using my Vegas Movie Studio software. The problem is the ASF file generated was of very poor quality. When the image on the VCR screen would pan left or right, the image produced on the ASF file would blurr. The VCR image would not appear blurred when played on a TV, but the digitally produce ASF file would be blurred. I tried adjusting every setting that the BlazeHD software had, but still the ASF files produced would be blurred. I concluded that the Aoderlan adapter is just not capable of properly encoding/converting old VHS video that involves motion of any kind, hence the one star rating. Therefore, this product does not appear to meet my need. Maybe it is better suited to other purposes (ie capture from TV, DVR or game consoles), but I would not recommend it for VHS tape conversion. If someone can explain to me how to fix the blurring problem, I would be more than happy to edit my review and change my rating (if it had produced a good quality ASF file I would have given it a 4 star, taking off one star because it did not produce MPEG files)Update: I since purchased a TOTMC adapter which makes MPEG2 files. They did not come out at all blurrie.

Easy to use
Worked right out of the box, after installing the provided drivers FIRST. Easy to use, seems to be good quality. Working fine on Win7.I upgraded to this from a very finicky EasyCap 2.0 that only worked with Win XP, and then only marginally. Recording from my DVR, with the EasyCap I had to switch the DVR to output 4:3 format. With this Aoderlan thing I am able to capture the video without having to change the settings (1080p out) on my DVR.
