This car is awesome! We bought it for my 4 year old son for his birthday and it is so fun. It handles many different terrains outdoors and is quick but not too fast for him to handle. We had an issue one of the components breaking after my son ran it hard into a tree and the customer service was awesome. They mailed me a replacement right away! I’d highly recommend!

I received a discount from the manufacturer. I'm writing a review because I like the car. My 2-1/2 year old is piloting this RC car in the video. Controls are simple and intuitive enough for small kids. Sure, she'll run it into all sorts of things, and as seen in the video, flip it right over, but she keeps on going. Pros: Hard to get this thing to stop. Roll it in the off road mode, and with the press of a button you're flat out in on road mode, and moving again. Find a wall, tree, or other obstacle and you can walk straight up it to flip back over. Controls and the transformation are both easy. I haven't ran out of range in my backyard, which is where we do most of our racing. Cons: Battery life is just OK. Screws required to remove the battery cover and the battery must be removed to be charged. Though inconvenient, I'm sure this arrangement helps to keep the batteries safe. This is one where I'd consider an additional battery for extending playtime. Proprietary connectors and charger are just OK. Notes: Sometimes I get confused on which way is forwards when it's been flipped over and over. Maybe a bright colored section to tell you which way is forward in each orientation would help. This RC isn't super fast, but it's a more durable crawler, at least over high grass (3-4") and other backyard obstacles. On hard surfaces, it's noticeably faster, which makes a lot of sense.

I was going to give it to my 12 yo son as a Christmas present but he got another car and I ended up keeping this one. Was impressed all around as were the tweens and twenty’s crowd. Everyone was astonished by its capabilities and swore they were gonna get one of these. Definitely worth it, no problems yet and it’s been ran maybe 10 hrs. Battery life is decent (around 30 min of use) but it takes a bit to get a full charge (1-2 hrs). Transformer mode is awesome and have found very few places this thing will not make it through. Tall grass runs down the battery pretty quick, leaves and gravel are no problem. Would recommend this to all and I plane on purchasing another one.

Bought this car for our almost 4yo and we love it! The controls are easier to use to make the car move as opposed to the first car we bought her where the controls were just forward/back and left/right. It's really durable and versatile in it's ability to change shape in order to get out of spots or around objects when you get it stuck on something. It was also great in the grass and other terrain besides just the flat concrete of the driveway. I would say that it's not really a children's "beginner" car because of the ability to change shape. Once you get flipped around or move from flat to up/big you have to keep in mind which side is actually the front so you can move the the controls appropriately. It can get a little confusing for our daughter when it comes to that but because of that it also makes it a great car for dad and uncle who had just as much fun using it too.

The car is quite nice, it works (for now) and the transformation trick is great. It can also run on both sides (in racer mode) which is great. My son is so far very happy with his present. There are a couple of aspects that should be improved though: 1) the car does not go straight and there is no trim setting for the direction so no way to fix it. The curve it follows when going "straight" is actually quite pronounced. It's not just a light drift. You have to correct course every second or so. My son still has fun with it though. 2) the batteries are of the type that connect through a wire connector. This is not durable at all as the wire will eventually break. Better designs have a battery pack that can be inserted into the body of the car without fiddling with wires. At least the connector is quite common on chinese-made RC cars so replacement batteries should be easy to find. 3) the commands are all or nothing. There is no way to increase the speed gradually or turn only a little. Again, not a deal-breaker for a kid's toy but I wish this worked better. I have also looked at RC cars priced $200 and higher and while they did not have the problems above, they did not transform and could not be driven on both sides. That is why I ended up buying this one. Battery pack: this car comes with a single battery. The seller sent me an extra one at no cost because I pointed out the "what is inside the box" picture had 2 batteries on it. The picture has been corrected since. Good customer service! Durability: still good after a month...

This is hands down one of the best battery powered remote controlled cars that i have owned! It comes with everything that you need. Most toys you must search around for a screwdriver small enough to get the battery door compartment open, not this one, they include one in the box, along with extra screws in case you drop and lose one of them! Played with the car for around an hour straight out of the box without ever charging. The controls are very responsive and it has a long range. I was getting around 80 to 100 yards with clear line of sight with mine. Nothing has been able to stop this little car, we have a large rock bed in front of our house and it powers over even the larger rocks. I love the fact that if the car flips over, just click the center button and it turns into a transformer and repositions itself back in an upright position. For the money you can't go wrong with this car. You wont be disappointed!!

This is my first remote control car for my son-- and maybe because I'm new to this, but I think I expected some of the basics of the experience to be better. My 4 year old son loves this, but I have to use the tiny screwdriver (provided at least) to remove a tiny screw (since I decided not to do both since I'm lazy and it is fine) that could easily be lost (I guess they do provide extra, but... maybe just do a push-clip or a locking screw?) to take out the battery and charge it. It's a bit of a whiny complaint, but this would make the experience better when you drain a battery in ~30mins. It seems like it takes a few hours to charge, but I'll admit, I haven't paid close attention to it. The transforming is great- I have no idea how well other nice rock crawlers (for the same price) do in this arena or if they just manage to not flip over in the first place, but it does save you from having to go flip it every few seconds since you can transform it. Does well in the grass in either mode. Keeps my son busy and entertained for a good while, and that is worth more than gold.

La macchinina corrisponde alle aspettative e per ora i bimbi si divertono, poco da dire. Faccio presente, e l'ho fatto presente al venditore, che la descrizione prevede (o prevedeva nel caso sia stata aggiornata come suggerito) una batteria aggiuntiva che in realtà non viene inclusa. Ritengo la batteria aggiuntiva decisamente utile perché quella in dotazione non supera i 20 minuti d'uso. Ho contattato (via mail, in inglese) il servizio clienti che è stato cortese e disponibile. La mail si trova nella confezione. Spiegato il problema ho ricevuto una batteria aggiuntiva nel giro di pochi giorni. Molto soddisfatto.

Bought this for my son after reading reviews. Delivery was prompt and was exactly as described. It's a great little car (not so little actually). Rather a hefty car and quite capable of going fast over paved areas and grassed areas (and flower beds, carpets, feet etc etc). Rugged construction and has survived being dropped and being driven full speed into brick walls. The switch feature - changing from low slung racer to high clearance off roadster is great, but one thing to note is this only works in one direction - i.e. the wheels will always be on what is the bottom of the car chassis. Fantastic if the car gets stuck in long grass when low riding - just raise the body using the remote control and drive out to somewhere more forgiving. But if the car flips onto its back - converting to off roadster just raises the wheels in the air like a sad tortoise. Not a design flaw at all, just something to note. Battery life could be better, but you get a spare battery with the unit, so charge on whilst the other is being used. If you're looking for a fast fun all rounder for indoor and outdoor use I heartily recommend this.
