Brilliant design
Brilliant design! I tried using other rare earth magnets, but they didn't stay put. This also has shielding so the magnetic field doesn't extend away from the filter. I haven't done any tests on how well it's working, but logically it makes sense. Captures the micro metal shavings down to 1 micron that cause more wear than the larger particles. From their website:Experts agree that the smallest particles produce the greatest wear.“The significance of proliferating particles in the 10µm domain is phenomenal. Great Product - used these before on other vehicles. Forgot to have the oil change facility to remove them and place them on new filter.
