Excellent Introductory Text
As a federal regulator that needed a crash course in securitizations, I purchased this book and was pleasantly surprised by its accessibility and ease of use. I was able to get up to speed on PAC bonds and support bonds very quickly. I would recommend this book for the library of any person that tangentially interacts with structured finance transactions and needs a quick reference to get them up to speed on the basics.

Excellent Introduction
Excellent book, explore the different scenarios in the securitization business. Its a good introduction to this business, you can obtain mora tan a big picture of the subject.

Introduction to Securitization
Great author and an extremely authoritative and knowledgable work for all those interested in this topic. Great reading too. Everything I've read from him are great reading.

Not much of an introduction
To make a long story short, the authors throw the reader into the deep end of the pool and never look back. I author several empirical financial academic papers each year, and find that establishing the big picture (i.e., the trunk of the tree) at the BEGINNING encourages the reader to continue reading. This book leads the reader to ask WHY, WHO, WHERE, HOW . . . largely because the the authors fail to provide the reader with a general map for the game. Bottom line: this book is a poor introduction to securtitization.
