This is a very sturdy product and I expect years of use from it. I carry it regularly on my twice-a-day dog walks; here in Florida rain showers can come up quickly. The other thing that can come up quickly is off-leash dogs. I have been fortunate in not having a serious confrontation, but there are many reports of open umbrellas confusing, disorienting, and otherwise discouraging even large aggressive dogs. You may have to sacrifice your umbrella, but it's better than a trip to the ER!The carrying case could be more robust and the shoulder strap should be adjustable. My preferred carry method is the umbrella on my back with the strap across my chest (similar to ninja-style sword carry). This leaves my hands free for leash control, poo bag duty, flashlight, etc. A larger umbrella might be cumbersome to access in this manner, but this one is perfect!Note: I was recently contacted by the seller in response to a previous review. As with most products these days the components of this item are global sourced. I was informed that their umbrella production is being relocated from Hong Kong to California and future labeling will indicate that change.

I previously bought an umbrella with a black handle. I've had it for a couple of years and it has always served its purpose. I wanted a brown handle to have a second one to use. When i bought the brown handle version I bought the wrong length. I contacted customer service and they took care of it. The umbrellas stand up to even very harsh winds. I live in the northeast. I wish all of the umbrellas arrived with the rubber stop on the tip to keep them from getting scratched up on concrete but overall they are worth it. Save some money then buy one you won't regret it.

It looks good for traveling and also good for going to cities where CCW or open carry are not allowed.

This is a great umbrella! I had the larger version, but it was lost. I actually like the shorter one better. Its closer to the size of the combat sticks I use in Kali. Its sturdy, and well made all around!

It's some solid stuff. Even if you only ise it for rain.
