Can these be driven into asphalt driveways?

I have had customers drive them into asphalt driveways before without issues. As long as there is not solid concrete or rock substrate under the asphalt it should drive through the asphalt. They are one-piece solid steel and they are hot-dipped galvanized as well for weather protection. Unless you protect the painted head with a scrap board or something, the paint will likely chip some if you hit the painted head directly with a metal hammer or sledge hammer. If the plain color maybe better and cost less also. I would purchase a one-pack plain stake first the try it. Thanks!

Do you drive these into the marker pipe or adjacent to it?

Most people place them immediately adjacent to the actual property marker. The actual property markers are usually several inches below the ground. These sit flush with the top of the ground so they can be found easier. Thank you for your interest in the product.

Is this easy to remove? My neighbor has stolen my previous 8 inch metal stake markers that were flush with the ground.

Yes extremely easy. Don’t buy if you don’t want it stolen. If I may suggest one thing, just buy ready mic concrete, dig a hole 6-13 inches deep, 4 inches x 4 inches (wider if you wish) , pour the concrete, then paint it later.

Has Anyone used for clay soil, if so, is the orange easy to see or does it blend in?

I have used it in Clay soil (Georgia) and while it initially worked over time the color has faded. Easy enough to spray with a shaker can.
