Better than the protectors at the T-Mobile store
Before I bought this protector, I had tried 3 other screen protectors already. The first 2 were from the T-Mobile store. One of them was a very expensive tempered glass protector and it cracked from the side all the way to the bottom of the phone within the first 2 weeks. The tempered glass screen protector added a terrible glare to the screen, and made it impossible for the screen to display any true blacks without being in a dark room. The tempered glass also had a faint grid pattern that could be made out when the screen was off and there was enough light. Perhaps the worst part of the tempered glass was it made the finger print scanner on the phone absolutely useless. It almost never worked.I have insurance on my device, so T-Mobile swapped out the glass protector with a plastic one and it performed much better. The glare problems were gone and the finger print scanner worked great. However, literally within the first day my keys had created 2 large gashes in the protector.I decided to just buy a cheap one on Amazon, and I immediately started to look for the iq shield brand because I have had great luck with them on my curved Galaxy devices in the past. However, it must have been too close to the launch of the phone because I couldn't find them on Amazon for the oneplus 7. I tried out one that looked similar, and was very disappointed in the installation of the protector and the size of the protector. It was a little too big and would peel up on the sides when I put my phone case on.A few weeks later, I went back on and searched again for the iq shield and found it after a bit of digging. Just like in the past, the wet installation was super easy and after the protector dried out it looks great. It has no problems with peeling on the edges after adding my phone case and there are no added glare problems. The finger print scanner also works great. The actual feel of the protector is actually really nice for a plastic protector as well. It certainly doesn't feel as nice as glass, but with curved screens I have never had luck with tempered glass. If you want the touch of glass, you will probably need to go without any protector at all.Price aside, this is the best protector I have used. Way nicer than the expensive ones I tried at the T-Mobile store. Considering the price, this is an absolute no brainier.Installation tip: install the screen in a steamy bathroom to help keep dust from getting on the screen during the install.

Easy install, no need to rescan fingerprints.
I have gone with IQ shield products for my past few screen protectors. While it is true that tempered glass products might seem more durable, IQ Shield's film possesses one unique advantage over tempered glass. It is thin, truly transparent, and not at all difficult to install.OnePlus 6T is the first phone in the US with in-display fingerprint scanner. The problem with most tempered glass screen protectors is that it tends to make such readers very difficult to use. I've tried a few brands based on Amazon reviews, and all of them rendered 6T's fingerprint scanner unacceptably difficult to use. Yes, I've tried to rescan my fingerprints many times. Hence, I bought IQ Shield's film once again.Install: as with all wet install films, you need to spray some installation liquid. That's not a problem here. I used the screen wipe included in the package to clear off all dust, lint, and finger smudges. I sprayed a few sprays of liquid directly on to the screen (yes, I know IQ Shield advises against it). I peeled off the film from its backing and applied it on the phone. Without squeezing out any water, I adjusted the film by gently moving it around a bit. When wrinkles occurred, I simply moved some liquid to that area to lubricate and smooth away the wrinkle. Then, I used the included squeegee to get the water out.Tip: do not put the case on immediately upon installation. If border or corners appear lifting off from the screen slightly, simply press down and hold for the film to adhere to the screen. Installing a case before the film fully clings and dries will cause it to peel back up. This film provides full coverage.Fingerprint scanner: works without rescanning. Amazing, and confirms what IQ shield claims for optical transparency.Feel: this is where some folks might get turned off. The primary advantage of glass protectors is that they still give the same gliding feel when you swipe on the screen. IQ shield is different. You will definitely feel a bit more friction, akin to smooth rubber rather than glass. It's not frustrating to me because I'm used to it. If anything, it helps me type better with the onscreen keyboard because the slightly rubbery feel prevents my fingers from sliding off unintentionally. In any case, great product that I was able to install with no difficulty in less than 10 minutes.

Decent protector; ANNOYING application process
I've only had the protector on for a short bit but it seems like it does the job. It doesn't affect the touch screen and the feels very smooth. The hole for the front camera is perfect and doesn't affect flash mode when taking a selfie. The reason why I dropped it a few stars is because the application process is tedious. Overall, it's simple - clean the phone's screen, spray both sides of the protector, place on phone, and squeegee out the bubbles. THE PROBLEM IS THE BUBBLES. The silicone squeegee that comes with the protector is good for the big bubbles but I had a lot of small bubbles -- which instructions says should disappear after a few days, but it'd hate to assume they'll go away and then I have to see the bubbles on the screen. I ended up using the blow dryer method (in the instructions) to warm up & soften the protector to move the small bubbles before it fully cures, but I shouldn't have to use electricity to apply a screen protector.
