I can't say enough good about this fantastic series of lesson books from Nancy and Randall Faber. My daughters have been taking piano lessons, at first from me and now a new teacher for a total of 5 years and their progress has been fantastic! The setup of these books encourage a more in-depth understanding of how notes, chords, etc. form songs. It's a very different way than how I was taught and I'm so thankful that my kids have the opportunity to learn this method because my 10 year old is already composing amazing pieces of music! Piano Adventures Theory Book, Level 2A I recommend purchasing the entire set of books for each level. You'll be very happy that you invested in your student's learning because the books work so well, each building on the other and cementing the piece of knowledge from each unit firmly into the child's mind. One of my favorite series - the sight reading book correlates to the lesson book. Definitely a plus for method books.

Great addition for the student who is motivated & is up to the challenge of reading.

I really like the book, but it keeps shedding little paper bits. The last thing I want is tiny scraps all over my piano.

Each piece is very short and suitable for the beginning level. My daughter follows the instructions and practices one piece a day. After 10 days, she becomes more confident to play new pieces with high accuracy in notes reading. I also bought 2b 3a and 3b along with lesson Books.

Genial. Llevo desde el volumen 1 practicando con esta serie de Sightreading y he mejorado mucho. El avance es progresivo y es una muy buena manera de practicar la lectura a primera vista cada día. Suelo hacer un par de páginas del día anterior una vez más 2 páginas nuevas. Así cada día. Seguiré con el siguiente volumen una vez acabe este.

If you are British, this will be a little "American" but if you can get over the differences in language...it is FANTASTIC. Love it.

A great book for 5-minute daily lessons for a 7 year-old. The progression in level difficulty from the first book is a good pace.
