Lift the dot hole cutter punch tool for lift the dot fasteners ** DOES NOT FIT TURNBUTTON FASTENERS**

Handy tool which I successfully used on carpet and fabric. Whilst reasonably small its been easy to use and very strong, doing the job nicely.

This small tool made the cutting for the fittings very easy , well worth having.

The punch arrived with an unsharpened cutter hole and slightly recessed compared to the pin cutters. It was unable to cut through 1680D oxford cloth until I sharpened the hole punch with a file. After sharpening, it worked acceptably.

Works great for my soft top and boot on a Datsun Roadster. Much more cost effective than other options. Just make sure to put an old paper magazine between the backing anvil.

Not great for loose canvas has to be on something solid to use

Cuts through two layers of tonneau cover on my pickup very nicely. Use an old magazine under the canvas to protect the cutter.

I used this for a small canvas project. I only needed to install 4 Lift the Dot fasteners going through 4 layers of canvas. The tool did the job, but barely. The fit for the snaps was fine. But it was not near sharp enough. I never got a clean center hole and I had to finish cutting out each hole with a razor. It would have taken forever if I had a big project. I was using a proper backing board to hit the tool with that is made for this job. I also tried a wood board and a stack of magazines. It just wasnt sharp enough. I tried to save a few bucks with this tool, but I wouldnt buy it again.
