My interest in purchasing a muddler came with my interest in making a mojito. After looking at the various vendors and reviews, the choice was clear. Artic Chill...I am very impressed with the Arctic Chill Muddler as well as with the extra value that Artic Chill includes with all of their products. For instance, packaged with this muddler was a card that had a link to download a free guide "Muddler Recipe Book" that included five (5) cocktail recipes, including a mojito and a Caipirinha. That along with emails from Artic Chill asking me how I liked my Artic Chill products...I also have their cocktail shaker and wine aerator...is a testimonial as to their devotion to their customers after the sale. But now on to my review and why 5 stars.I had my first mojito at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. I was spoiled! That drink was absolutely divine...ok...I'm sure the occasion and ambience were contributing factors...but...still...I was never able to get one that came even close on several attempts at various dining establishments here in Southern California. That left me sorely disappointed each and every time. That is until I made my own. I used the recipe from Artic Chill. I substituted "Sprite"...it was what I had on hand...for Club Soda, used a pint glass to muddle the sugar, mint, sprite and lime wedges, transferred the ingredients along with my rum and ice to my shaker and shook away! My drink was ice cold, the ingredients were thoroughly blended and I was in heaven!...I am even growing my own mint now...The Artic Chill muddler made short work of muddling all of the ingredients. It was thorough, it was effortless, and clean up was as easy as rinsing under hot water and wiping dry.Note...if you own the "Artic Chill Cocktail Shaker" you will not be able to "muddle" in it with this muddler. You will be banging your knuckles. The muddler is approximately 7-1/8" in length and the rim of the shaker is approximately 8-1/8". Personally, I use a heavy bottomed old-fashioned or pint glass...I like to see my "handiwork" in action...smile...Cheers!

We had a wooden muddler and since I am not very good with hand washing items the wooden muddler didn't hold up. So I decided to find one that I could throw in the dishwasher. I found this one and ordered it right away, since it also came with the bar spoon and that happened to be another item I was looking for. The muddler gets 5 stars and the bar spoon is what brought the score down for me. I would give 4 1/2 stars but you can't. The main issue for me with the bar spoon is that the spoon end of it is too small. Other than that it's fine. Both items are nice and are of good quality. We have already made many drinks using both items and I only just received them! All in all a great purchase for a good price. I do recommend this item and I would buy from them again in the future.I also received and appreciated an email they sent to me after my purchase. It was a really nice addition to an already good purchase. They offer some tips and ask you to contact them for any reason, if need be. A wonderful personal touch for an inexpensive internet purchase.Very pleased all around.

I had always wanted a Muddler, even before I learned how to walk & talk. Well-not exactly...until recently I didn't even know what one of these critters was. I guess I just imagined that little pixie fairies stomped on the mint leaves in a mojito...Ok...another fib--I don't think I even thought about how they were made. Along comes my better half, "Honey, I need a Muddler." The sam hell you say? After explaining to me all of the wonderful libations she would be able to concoct with one, I broke down and spent a whole $13,95 on the Arctic Chill SS Cocktail Muddler. While not having a basis for comparison against other Muddlers, I can say that this one does work great and everyone is happy. Shipping was very fast & item was well-packaged. A tip: Buy yourself some "Ginger Beer" for use in place of the club soda, and then use vodka in place of the rum. Always use FRESH mint leaves (that's what you got this thing for, right?). A really tasty drink!Update...We liked this Muddler so dang much that I just bought a second one for the boat. 'A muddling we will come..."
