1, this is a passive pickup? 2, need battery? 3, made in Korea?4,Conversion of single coil?

Active pickups so it needs a battery but it has an easy access compartment on the back of the guitar. It is made in Korea. It only has a 3 way switch, so you cannot use the pickups as single coils however the clarity of sound with the active EMG’s is fantastic.

Is the damien platinum the same as a c-1 platinum?

Hello. The Damien Platinum is actually an entire series of guitars, and the C-1 Platinum is a single model (available in Left Hand or Right Hand). The guitars have numerous differences.
