Amazing book! My town is part of this book. The information is astounding!

The author jumped around a lot. It was hard to keep up with and follow at times. I am left with more confusion than knowledge.

Maybe im just picky, but I can tell this guy is not a writer by trade. However, I did enjoy this book. very descriptive and as a reader, I can feel the emotion of the authors words. The story might seem a little one sided and not balanced to the cult point of view however after knowing several members of this cult (some I would even consider my friends)and seeing the congregation as a whole go after one of their ex-communicated members in my community, I can tell you that Bernie's story is very likely to be 100 percent accurate. From my own experience, I can say that there are some very good people in this cult, however are ruled by fear and intimidation and literally have no way out even if they wanted to. Danny Layne instills a fear like no human I have ever seen have over another human, even if he is couple of thousand miles away. I manage to stay friendly with them because its not my business to tell them what is right and what is wrong. even if you dont have a personal interest with Church of God Restoration, still an interesting read.

This book grasped my attention right away. The details of what the Church of God Restoration does to their members are unbelievable. It's amazing that this cult hasn't been taken down by the authorities. I would highly recommend anyone to read this...especially if this Church is in their hometown.
