Review: "Mobile App Marketing" should be a great resource to anyone submitting an app for the first ... - This book was very helpful in several ways. First of all, it explains the various marketing concepts in a straightforward, easy-to-understand manner. Further, the tips and tricks to get your app published are very practical, and don't require a marketing degree to understand. I was particularly interested in what Alex had to say about choosing an investor. I have one app in the store, and will be releasing another one very soon. With what I've learned in this book I can probably market my app without requiring any outside investment. Overall, "Mobile App Marketing" should be a great resource to anyone submitting an app for the first time. If you're looking for an honest opinion from an expert on the subject, I would highly recommend Alex. Review: great book - A Lot of useful and down-to-earth information without any hype! A must-read if u want to build a mobile app.

Excellent Primer for First Time App Entrepreneurs
Being an app entrepreneur (or any kind of entrepreneur, really) is both the most exciting and stressful thing I've ever experienced. As I recently launched my first app, I wanted to get a book that would introduce me to some ideas on how to market and monetize my app. Alex's book was exactly that. The book goes deep into several ways you can start marketing your app and gives you many great tips into ASO (App Store Optimization), which is probably the most fundamental marketing tool you should invest in. It also made some recommendations of how to do keyword research and even which tools to use. I'm currently implementing his strategies and learning more, which I'm confident will give me a boost in the App Store. Overall, the book is a great introduction into the app world and I fully recommend it! Lastly, Alex is very responsive and we have exchanged a couple of emails already. You can tell he really cares about his readers/Udemy students. Get this book if you are an app entrepreneur!

Very good introduction that covers almost all aspects
This books introduces you with the theory of how difficult it is to build your own app. Either be a developer or find a developer partner or forget about it, because getting an app built is going to take tens and thousands of dollars. I was a little disappointed by that, although that may very well be true. The marketing and monetizing strategies mentioned are definitely good for the beginners, but you won't find any novel techniques here. Overall a good basic app marketing and monetizing book. I would recommend this for beginners. Update: I finished the book and I read other resources and have found that this book covers a lot about app mobile and the concepts that i see other people use quite successfully. So I am definitely happy with all the information that was provided. I am subscribed to an online service and I just attended a webinar on it. The webinar was designed to help us make better decisions on a certain field that this service relates to. At the end the person tried to sell his guided coursework. So it seems many of the things discussed in this book are very commonly used by successful businesses these days. Thank you Alex

Very informative for whoever starting an app business
The book covers "how to start an app business and generate downloads" rather than ASO only. cons 1. it is not treating app marketing only, it touches other important areas as whether you should start with android or ios when budget is tight. 2. I wonder if there's a way of measuring the output after you improve your onsite ASO (app description and such) but the book doesn't mention how to measure them or even if it's possible to measure (I guess it's because there's no way to measure but.. still.good to be explicit) pros 1. As a developer/service owner myself for over 5 years, I could feel that he is really telling what he've experienced, and I believe it is very informative to whoever 's in the early stage of doing app business 2. very easy to read and gives explicit strategy you can implement and the reason why the author believes that it's going to work. I would definately recommend the book if someone wants to start an app business

This book is a decent book for beginners.
This book is a decent book for beginners, but it needs more information to be a 4 or 5 star. This book is very general, and tries to cover a lot of topics, but only covers each topic briefly. The information it gives is very general, and in many cases just common sense for most people. It offers some, but not many, tips that can help you when getting started. Having said that, there are some useful tips that you might not find easily in other places which is why I give it a 3/5 stars.

Very Useful and Practical Advice
This book was a quick read and was very informative. It answered a lot of questions and went over everything that a newbie would want to know. It also delves deeper into different industries and different types of apps so depending on what industry you're in, this book would be even more helpful for you. It's written in easy to understand language for people who are not particularly technical and is enjoyable to read.

Great and straight to the point
I gave this book a 5 star because I am a novice and have no experience in the tech world sort of like a dinosaur of the new tech age To my surprise I finished the book in 2 days understood and started using many of the tech words I learned in the book and now have a clear idea of how to move forward with my App business event hough I had no previous knowledge of this business. The book is straight forward it gives you tons of info and it does not gives hopes on becoming a millionaire on the contrary it opens your eyes into being prepared for a real uphill journey which to me is priceless as an entrepreneur. Thank you and God bless you Alex.

Thumbs Up Alex
That Alex did a great job putting this piece together is stating the obvious. He was able to put it all together in a simple and straightforward format. This is the first book I've read on app development and marketing and I am excited to have ordered this first. It's real and gives you a picture of how things are, this isn't 2008 or 2010 when we'll expect massive returns except it's a groundbreaking idea. He is also quick to point out the fact that he hasn't got so much to say about the app industry in some continents like Africa which was a major area of interest for me as someone looking into that continent.

A good book on marketing best practices and ASO
This a synthetic book but it covers all the bases of app marketing. I cannot speak of efficacy because I am just starting out with my app launch, but the book is very readable and gives a nice introduction to app entrepreneurship. It gave me some good ideas on App Store optimization, and pointed to some useful resources. I must also say that the author was very helpful and eager to help with some feedback.
