Great adapter for travel.

Failed after a few months.
This product worked great as advertised when I first bought it but has now failed. I'm a professional video engineer so I use these types of products all the time. I know there are some knock-off versions but I have always had good experiences with StarTech. This time it has completely failed. For other professional users: I most recently connected this adapter to a Barco PDS-902-3G and the results were bad. Not only did I get no video signal, but the system menu started lagging quite badly. The moment I disconnected the adapter it became responsive again. I fear stray voltage inside the device and so I wouldn't purchase or even use one of these ever again.

この製品は「DisplayPort」という比較的に新しいデジタル・ディスプレイ装置の為の映像出力インタフェースの規格から従来のVGA、DVI、HDMIに出力するアダプターです。 私はてっきり・・・VGA、DVIからHDMIにつなぐアダプターと勘違いしました。 端子がHDMIに似ている・・・HDMIは2ヶ所の角がカットされているデザインですが、DisplayPortは１ヶ所がカットされているデザインです。 いつの間にか「DisplayPort」という規格ができてたンですねー・・・知りませんでした。 Amazon Vine先取りプログラムで送られてきた状態はチャック付きの食品保存袋(メーカープランドは印刷してあり、商品の説明などはシール)のようなモノに入ってきました(通常販売時はかわるかもしれません)。 説明書も入っていましたが、英文のみ。 2017年2月某日 追記 やっと、使える日が来ました。 新しく買ったパソコン(中古だけど・・・orz)にDisplayPortがありました。 D-sub端子とDisplayPortを使ってマルチモニターにしてみました。 至って簡単・・・繋ぐだけ、ドライバー等のインストールも必要なし。 あっという間にマルチモニターの出来上がり♪

Environmentally Efficient Solution
We were able to use this device which allowed us to continue to use an older monitor with a newer computer. It is nice to be able to continue to use the older equipment, which is still very functional

Muy satisfecho con mi DP2VGDVHD
Ya llevo casi un año de haber comprado el DP2VGDVHD. Lo uso para conectar mi tarjeta de video a una segunda pantalla algo vieja. Buen producto, no se calienta nada y funciona de maravilla, no tiene ningún tipo de retraso, artefactos o cosas raras. Es como si no estuviera ahí. Muy buena compra.
