A beautiful, quality case, with a few limitations
This Sportlock Leatherlock Series Take-Down Shotgun Case is a VERY nice, compact case offered at a VERY reasonable price. The medium-brown-colored covering on the outside of the case, the molded carry handle, and the brass-look finished hardware give it a classy, classic look and feel. The soft foam interior is covered with an almost "luxurious" fleece-type of upholstery. My reasons for assigning only four stars: The permanently installed securing straps and the rigid, inset storage compartment with lid are features that somewhat limit options when trying to configure stowage, esp for an assembled short-barrel weapon. My reason for purchasing this case is to keep my home defense piece close at hand under the bed. In fairness, as noted in the product name, the case is designed to store a partially-disassembled shotgun. Also, the case cannot be opened flat; a fabric strap limits opening it to an angle of about 95-100 degrees. Finally, while adequate for keeping the case closed for storage or transport, do NOT depend on the teeny locks built into two of the three exterior latches for any semblance of security. One must take additional, common-sense measures to safely and securely prevent unwanted access to any weapon kept in this case. This is a beautiful, high-quality compact shotgun storage case, attractively priced, even with its few limitations.

great product for the price.
I treated myself to a beautiful shotgun and I felt like I was doing it a disservice keeping it in a padded rifle case. Now I can take my shotgun down, clean it, and store it in this beautiful case.the latches feel sturdy and the lining is so soft, I know I wont be scratching my blued finish on it.Only complaints, the handle arrived with a screw out, I had to find and replace it - wish customer service would have checked that one. The padding inside it a little firm. I would have preferred something that would form around my shotgun so I could customize the case (BUT your parts wont be sliding around at all.) and Im not thrilled with the velcro straps inside to hold everything down.Obviously these little complaints didnt stop me from giving 4 stars, I just wanted it mentioned.compartment provides plenty of space to put chokes and pieces. For long term storage, this price cant be beat. I would buy again.

A best buy considering cost and quality...
For the money, this is an excellent case to protect your shotgun. Similar cases usually cost $25-50.00 more for the same quality. I can't state with 100% confidence, but I believe this company makes the Browning firearm cases for them. Compare them with the Browning product and I think you'll agree they probably are one and the same...I own two (2) other Sportslock cases and they have held up well; not quite as well as a couple of other cases I own, but those cases cost $200-300.00 more compared to this one. You make the choice: it's your money. BTW, this case is identical to Sportslock #000037 except for the interior layout & security arrangements. For the extra money, I like this one better...

You get what you pay for.
I bought this case because of the price, I found it for $87.99 shipped here on Amazon thru one of their vendors. The case itself is pretty good but the latches seem cheap & flimsy. I certainly would not trust the locking latches to survive the rigors of airline transport as claimed. I'm tempted to buy some quality latches and install them myself but since I only intend to store my shotgun in it & make an occasional trip to the range, I'll just let be.If your looking for a case to match the quality of your Pigion grade Superposed, you won't find it here.

Quality Shotgun Case
This item was a super purchase. Good quality and it now holds my Weatherby shotgun. The shotgun is well protected and doesn't move around in the case. Price was the best I could find and I would recommend it to any takedown gun owner.

Fairly Good Gun Case
This is an inexpensive shotgun case; but does the job reasonably well. Certainly not the best case around, but it is a fair value. I am happy with the way my shotgun fits in it.

Good for the Price
Looks good and roomy for my coach gun. Only problem was the handle popped off. Fortunately not at the range. Easy fix though. Just be aware that this could happen.

Very good case for the money
I was very pleased with the quality of the case.As others have stated the latching hardware is not the best, but it is ok for transporting to and from the range. My biggest disappointment was that there is no division between the barrel area and the stock area.
