A weak core can lead to a variety of common aches and pains. So I am constantly recommending various exercises and equipment to patients, when developing their treatment plans. I've recently had several patients ask about the plankpad so I decided to try it out for myself. The first thing I noticed was the high quality, solid construction. The rubber padding on top is thick, comfortable, and durable. I also love that it has a handle on the opposite side! And a non slip rubber mat is also included, allowing it to be used virtually anywhere. Another unique feature of this plank board, is the corresponding app. It's easy to download and offers several basic games to help make planking more interesting - which usually yields in increased plank time. Compared to other products on the market, the plankpad offers more versatility since it can also be used as a balance board (which both of my kids love). This would be a great product that could be used for physical therapy as well as general strength and fitness training.

First I will say that I’m not great at planking at all, but that is why I bought this item. I’ve used it for about two weeks now, and I can plank a little longer than when I first started, so I can tell I’m getting stronger. The device itself is pretty simple. It is made from four pieces of plywood and had a very nice foam top. No complaints at all with the build quality. It also came with a thin foam sheet to go under the plank to keep it from slipping. I’m not sure that the plank is worth what I paid on its own, but the plank combined with the app it uses is definitely worth it. The app has a variety of modes, but I’ve really only used two so far. The video games are great and make the time go by much faster than just holding the position and suffering through the time. All of the games are based on moving left or right and holding at various angles, but they are unique enough to keep it fresh. The games hold your high score, so you know at the end if you beat your best workout. The other function I’ve used is the workout function which has you do an exercise for a specified amount of time. It had me do mountain climbers for 30 seconds, which again gives some variation and keeps you engaged. I haven’t tried it, but I did also see it has a challenge mode where it will give a progressively more difficult workout each day log your progress. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase, since it is causing me to do a core workout that I would typically not be doing. Everything about this is high quality and although it seemed a little pricey to me, I’m very glad that I purchased this item.

I was looking for a unique gift idea for my son and his wife for Christmas and came across these in a blog somewhere. What a cool idea! After watching the video I decided to get one for my son and one for me and my husband, as well. They came quickly and were exactly as described. I immediately wrapped one for Christmas and got the other one out to try out. The download of the app was easy. The app itself is well laid out and very user friendly. The content needs built and it would be nice for the timers to be audible (or have a tone when they end) but I expect that to improve because it seems very well done. The board itself is incredibly sturdy feeling. The padding is thick and comfortable and I haven’t had any issues with discomfort on my forearms. It’s substantial enough that you feel safe standing on it. I store it in the box it comes in because it is a well made box with nice closure. We slide it under the couch when done. Now for the workout....!!!! Everything is sore. Everything. I love it. Both my husband and I downloaded the app and we compete back and forth by laying face to face with the board between us. The only downside to that sometimes we aren’t able to hold the plank as long because we burst into laughter. Who knew planking could be fun?! The distraction of the games truly does make the time fly by. We love how little time we need to spend each day to really feel a good, all over burn. We were missing a poster in one of the boxes so i reached out to the company. I received a reply the very same day asking for my address and then informing me the poster was on its way! I highly recommend!

I like being able to use the Plankpad to practice balance. It’s like standing on a see saw. Harder than I would have thought. It feels like I’m strengthening my feet, ankles and legs. I mainly want to strengthen my core. I do feel my core muscles being worked when doing plank exercises. The games do help add interest so as not to become boring.

I got this today and used it with in 5 mins of opening the box. It's very sturdy, well made! ALL you do is pull it out the box, download the Plankpad app and you're ready to go! The app has several games, and challenges to choose from. Even my 6 and 10 year old boys love it, I should have gotten two because they kind of took it over. Haha. But I was able to last 78 seconds my first try and definitely already felt it in my abs and arms! Excited about this product!

Amazing product, so much fun and makes working out core so much easier!!! Love all the different workouts, and the games really work your core!! Built well, looks sleek and was nicely packaged. Would recommend to anyone looking to add fun and games to their workout, especially while at home during quarantine!

Ich fasse mich kurz: Planks sind unbestritten eine der effektivsten Körpergewichtsübungen überhaupt und ein seit langem bestens bewährtes Mittel, um "Core Strenght" aufzubauen. Das hier rezensierte PLANKPAD PRO macht Planks deutlich abwechslungsreicher - und vor allem wesentlich spaßiger! Durch den Einsatz eines Plankpads werden Planks alleine schon deswegen spannender, weil man mit dem Körper natürlich permanent das entstehende Ungleichgeweicht ausgleichen muss. Insofern zwingt das Plankpad den Benutzer dazu, noch konzentrierter und mit mehr mit Muskelanspannung zu arbeiten. Hinzu kommt natürlich die hierzu erhältliche, kostenlose App - diese entpuppt sich als wirklich vorbildlich (!) und enthält neben gut demonstrierten Übungen komplette Workouts und erstaunlich lustige Spiele, die man beim Planking spielen kann. Die Benutzerführung der App ist erstklassig und intuitiv, und sie sorgt für einen gewaltigen Motivationsschub. Die Verarbeitung des Plankpads ist solide und robust, und das Pad ist zudem auch noch sehr präzise gefertigt. Preislich liegt das Plankpad Pro aktuell bei 79 Euro, angesichts der guten Verarbeitung ein fairer Preis, für den man ja auch noch eine informative Anleitung, ein Trainingsposter und eine App erhält. Alles in allem: ein sehr effektives und gut konzipiertes Fitnessgerät... in meinen Augen deutlich cleverer und interessanter als viele der (angeblichen) "Wundergeräte", welche auf dem Markt für Fitnessgeräte immer wieder auftauchen. Von mir gibt es klare 5 Sterne!

Leggo molte critiche riguardo il fatto che il cellulare deve avere il giroscopio, a me sembrava chiaro leggendo la descrizione, è una semplice tavola plank o balance board, quindi senza nessun meccanismo o componente elettronica. Si può scaricare l'app su un cellulare o tablet, fare gli esercizi illustrati o i giochi presenti. Personalmente la uso senza app e mi piace molto, comodo il tappeto che evita rumori sul pavimento, il legno è molto robusto ed il tape di gomma comodo sotto i piedi (meglio se scalzi) o gli avambracci.
