B852 Blow Molded Empty Carry Case, 8.5 x 5.5 x 2.22, Interior, black

Well made case with secure closure of the latches, Beefy carrying handle with non slip texture.. Did not come with foam inserts. Pricey, but in my area there are no vendors carrying a wide selection of these cases.

I've been looking for a hard case for my 8250 Dremel and accessories. The 11 x 7 x 3 happened to be the right size. I cut a piece of medium density foam to fit the case and carved out pockets to fit the tool, charger and accessory case. I gave durability a lower rating as the plastic hinges and snap tend to be the weak points.

I looked everywhere for a hard case for my Chromebook. This solved the problem.Perfect for chromebook or small laptop. All three of our 11.6 inch Chromebooks (Asus, Acer, Samsung) fit (one at a time) into this case with a little room left over on the length. An 11.6 ASUS K200MA also fits. There some room room vertically, which I solved by gluing a piece of foam (you could use the foam that comes with the computer, or in my case I used a couple of layers of self stick craft foam) for the Acer, which will not fit into a sleeve and then into this case. The ASUS, which is just a tiny bit narrower and longer WILL fit perfectly into the case when in the Amazon basics 11.6 laptop sleeve.Offers a bit more protection in my backpack when traveling. The latches are the weak point, they are just plastic (but there are 2, not the one shown in the photo) but for sub twenty dollars this is excellent protection for a low price.

I've had these in my tool bag for a few years keeping screw drivers and pliers safe, upgrade to rolling toolboxes and now they are keeping testers safe and sound, and they are tough, and I have bought additional ones for additional tools. 1" foam lays in these nicely.

Works well and good quality

Great for holding tools, small items, etc. My only complaint is that these come in a variety of sizes, but I didn't see where you could search for them by size. When you start looking at them, you'll see pictures of a large # of different sizes, but the only way you can get the dimensions is to individually click on each picture. But other than that, they're great (I bought several)...

SUMMARY - This 17L x 7W x 3.2H (exterior) blow molded box is the perfect size for small hand tool storage under my truck back seat. But it has somewhat flimsy handle and latches and seems expensive for a case this size.PROs- Perfect size for underseat truck storage of lightweight itemsCONs- flimsy handle & latches- overpricedDETAILSI was looking for something similar to the Craftsman "Compact Truck box" and this is very similar in dimensions. However, that is where the comparison falls apart. The craftsman box sold for $7.99 when it was available. This is $25, although Sears didn't ship it to me for that price, I picked it up in the store. The craftsman box had a top mounted handle that was much sturdier than this, and ridges in the case body that appear to provide additional strength. The latches on the craftsman box were much heavier. The plastic on this box's latches was very thin. I returned this product because I didn't feel it could safely hold the items I bought it for. I have at least 15 tools in blow molded cases, from small meters to larger heavier tools. They ALL have sturdier latches than this case. It would be ok to hold a few screwdrivers, wrenches, maybe a light hammer. It's still too short to hold most tire irons, although a different sized case from the same manufacturer might be appropriate for that.RATINGI gave it 3 stars. -1 star for value and -1 star on latch and handles being flimsy

Exactly like the green SK 3/8 socket set box. I keep my pressure gauges in this. Keeps the tool chest neat
