A delicious sauce, fit for a conquistador!
With just one drop of this delicious sauce I am transported to the third-largest metropolitan area in Mexico - where else but Guadalajara!I like that it is tangy but not too tangy, as befits a delicious salsa from the eleventh-largest metropolitan area in Latin America. There's a delightful chilli kick which evokes the sights and sounds of a major Latin American tech hub and financial sector - one of the most productive and globally competitive cities in the world, if the locals are to be believed!Far from just acid and chili there are also notes of spices - perhaps the same ones that Cristóbal de Oñate, the Basque conquistador, had in his sights when he founded the fair city of Guadalajara back on the 14th of February 1542. Legend has it that the punchy flavour of cumin played a part in the mass colonial migrations of the 1720s and 1760s which led Guadalajara to be the second largest city in Mexico in those days and I feel that this sauce pays a respectful homage to that via its inclusion in the ingredients.What we end up with is a complex and satisfying bottled sauce that I have no doubt every one of Guadalajara's 5,002,466 Tapatío namesakes enjoy every single day.

My favourite hot sauce
It’s my fav for a reason, it’s hot, but has depth and a unique flavour that goes well with many dishes. I love it with tacos, fajitas, wings and… well lots of other dishes.

Mexicos hidden gem
I love this. I put it on everything. It's the right mix of tasty and heat for every day use. My partner is plain Jane so if I ever want anything a bit hotter after cooking I just slap some Tapatio in and boom it actually tastes of something.

A nice alternative to Tabasco
A nice rich sause that out-flavours Tabasco (similar kick level) and reasonable VFM.
