234SLESWTP 2 Lamp Treadplate Shop Light, 2.75" x 50" x 6.25"

I use this light in my room above a workbench I built. The light appears to be very good quality, and the most important thing to me since its in my house and right next to lots of wood and tools. It stays very cool, not like a lot of the florescent shop lights I am used to being around. All in all a great light

I did some research on the web before buying a couple of these for putting over my bird cages with T8 Vita-Lites for my birds.I THOUGHT I was buying fixtures with mirror-polished reflectors around the lamps, so they'd put out more light. But when they arrived and I opened one of the boxes ( one of them was actually open when it got here ) I discovered that the silver polished part of the reflectors are on the top outside of these things, which has nothing to do with reflecting more light from the lamps down on my area that I want lit by them!It appears that the gimick here is that they put out 90% more light than an open shop light fixture without any reflector at all, but I thought I was getting mirror polished reflectors on the insides of them.I just spent $57 with shipping, on 2 of these and am disgusted!

At this price you can't expect much but even at this price I expected more. They were shipped taped together but no extra packing. They arrived bent so first I had to attempt to straighten them enough get them to hold the tubes and light.They are very cheaply made and since hanging them I've had o fool with them to get tme to light. Right now they are working so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I was looking for something cool looking which they are, but the quality is not there. Very flimsy and overpriced versus going to Lowes or THD...

3 factors I like about this shop light.* It has the diamond plate chrome sheet metal.* Resi-Tronic Ballast. Start Temperature Is 0 Degrees Fahrenheit.* The ends where the bulbs twist in are all on piece making them more sturdy when installing the bulbs.I now own 4 of these lights, One from my local Ace hardware and 3 from Amazon. My local hardware changed models.

Great light. Easy to set up. No problems encountered. You couldn't find a more functional fluorescent light and easier to install. I've bought 2 of these lights a year ago, and they're still working fine.

These work great!

Initially bought one of these lights at Kmart and used it for a couple of weeks. I was happy enough with it that I bought 3 more. These shoplights are far better than the el cheapo lights they replaced. These lights are free from flicker and start up immediately. The T12 bulbs are very easy to install and I believe you can also use T8 bulbs. The tread pattern doesn't do anything for me as the lights hang about 15' up in my garage where you can't even see the housing. They also have a on/off pull switch but I have the lights plugged into a switchable outlet so don't need this feature. I did alot of shopping around and with in-store pick-up Kmart had the best price on these lights. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.2/1/13 Update: One of the lights failed after about 2 weeks of use. It would no longer turn on so I returned it to Kmart for a refund. I have ordered another and am hoping this was just a fluke.
