If you build it right, it will bring so much fun!
That little paper airplane flies like a pro. It’s amazing to see how much speed and high it can get with just a little, tiny propeller. Also it was super easy to assemble and charge, no cords no mess! I would recommend it. Just be gentle on small parts, they are fragile but so is the paper airplane.

Planes take work
Kids need a little help with the paper planes. Other than that it is working well.

No good
Not what it was marketed to be. The weight of the motor kept out paper planes from actually flying. It looks great on the video, but does not actually work as described. This upset us as grandparents that we gave a DUD BDAY gift.

Didn't work. Maybe User error?
Didn't work for us, might be user error but might not.

Great addition to the aviation curriculum!
I teach high school aviation courses and just got these to include in the curriculum. It is a nice addition when talking about control surfaces and their impacts on flight. As the battery starts to drain, the airplane will stall, dive, and recover which leads to another discussion. I got the basic 2.0 kit. It came with a paper template for one model and then it had links to other models in the included paperwork. The students enjoyed comparing the performance of the models and troubleshooting each model when it didn't behave as desired. I will say that you should not be surprised when some struggle with the initial airplane folding. Even with video instructions, I had several get a bit frustrated with the folding. I do not see this as a bad thing. I want them to have the experience of following instructions and building something. If it leads to them having to learn to deal with productive struggle, even better. This is something that is missing in their lives as they do more and more in the virtual world. If you have students that you know will struggle with the folding for whatever reasons, the models do vary in difficulty so you can guide them to an appropriate plane. I used them for 2 sections for 3 periods. The battery packs are still performing well and all propellers are intact. I did have a student snap a stabilizer bar, but it is not crucial. There is a spare parts kit offered on their site that I will be getting in the future but had the student experiment with using a larger paperclip for the repair this time. In closing, I absolutely recommend these for class. I look forward to seeing what else we can bring out of their use of them. (The video is only 5 seconds of the 25-second flight.)

awesome idea not so good execution
practically impossible to actually get the clip on plane. Seems there could be a much simpler solution. Teenager rips paper trying to add. The charger is just the worst in the world. You don't know if charging... if in slot, of not. the kit just stinks. Really had high hopes and though it would be cool for my teenage son... not so much. its already in the trash 10 days post Christmas.
