Check your local laws before tinting anything on your car.
I purchased this plasti Dip to tint myheadlights/taillights and found out later that tinting them is illegal in my state. I used it in 4 layers and it worked great. Sorry I had to remove it. Sprays even and didn't clog at all. And it was smooth, no orange peel.

Enhance your vehicle by smoking your tail lights!
Perfect for smoking your tail lights and not get a ticket for it. I did about 4 coats on my car and it’s darker, but still able to see the whole lens and everything. It doesn’t look like much in the photo for some reason, but in person it looks darker compared to before

Tip: get it hot
I bought this to tint my headlights with the glossifier. After all is said and done everything turned out pretty nicely. I'm happy with it and think it looks great. It took a few tries to get it right though. Here's what I learned: if you want a smooth, even finish you need to warm the product up. A cold can will leave you with a blotchy textured finish. Bathe the can in a bucket of hot water a few minutes prior to application. This will make the mist much finer and apply more evenly for a smooth finish. This is especially important because it is a semi-transparent shade. Also ensure that you clean the spray tip because if there is any blockage it will project small drops of the product among the finer mist and leave spots on your finished surface. This is what made me have to start over. If you follow these tips I think you'll find this product can really do a nice job. I'd buy it again.

Difficult to use
This is nice, but it takes a lot of coats before you can actually start seeing some results. I need to re do my smoke on my backlights. If you want to smoke your lights get a bottle of glossifier as well since the smoke is pretty dull.

It is ok but get a different peoduct if you want a glossy look
It does make it look darker. I used on my clear glossy license plate plastic cover and made it look darker but it doesnt give you a clean finish. It looks very rough. I was looking for a glass finish and this os definitely too rubbery. Look for the VHT combo as that seems to provide that look. I am glad this can be peeled off. It is really hard to mess up the coats. It is very easy to apply and dries fast.

Awesome
I never had any doubts about the quality of the plasti dip, it's always easy to work with. Packaging was adequate for a spray can. A tip though when using this, only apply light coats of this plasti dip. You can get away with spraying thicker with the solid colors, but because this is translucent, thick coats will trap tiny air bubbles which will make the tint look cloudy. Also make sure you wipe the spray nozzle between coats. This will keep the spray from 'spurting' out. For normal tail lights, 4 or 5 coats is plenty dark, typically what most people would consider a 30% tint. Obviously you can go as dark as you'd like. If you're wondering how many cans you need, I'd estimate that a single can could do about 16-17 coats, so about 8 coats each for medium sized tail lights. To do it right the first time, instead of doing both at the same time, do one tail light first, and concentrate on making consistent, light coats. That way, if you mess up and cloud up the light, you can just peel the one light off and respray instead of wasting twice the amount. It will produce a matte finish, and if you'd like it to be glossy, Plasti dip also makes a 'glossifier' which obviously does what you'd think it does.

Made my tail lights frosty white instead of smoky gray
This has absolutely no gray tint to it whatsoever. I used nearly the entire can on just my two back tail lights and it looks like I covered them in elmers glue. It's milky white and not at all the effect I was hoping for. I have used Plastidip many times before and the product application went normally. I did multiple sheer layers with drying time in between. It's still white. I will be removing the plastidip and just buying some precut film covers for my tail lights. If you're hoping to accomplish a similar project, don't waste your time.

OTTIMO PRODOTTO
Acquistato per oscurare i fari posteriori della mia auto e devo dire che si è rivelato un ottimo prodotto. Effetto fumè non troppo oscurato poi se lo si vuole ancora più scuro basta dare qualche mano in piu
