No internet needed. The button on the door requires battery. The handheld speaker does need power constantly and there is no battery space. It would either need to plugged in a usb socket or, as I did for my mum, a small power bank connected to it allows it to be carried around the house as a single device. Hope this helps.

Is the indoor unit mobile? As in can i carry it around with me?

Yes one of them is wireless and the other needs to be plugged in to a power supply.

The internal receiver is not portable

Sadly, I thought the external speach pad would be wired and the internal pad would be portable. Sadly it is the exact opposite. The internal one is hard wired and the external one is wiireless and battery operated.

Terrible

Terrible speakers. One end of the cable is attached to the device without the possibility to dissatach it. Why? Because there is likely no battery in it. And anyway, do you want a device on your wall with a cable hanging from it (in case the battery is really inside?). I let it 'charge', but does not work without the cable. no led light as in the video manual!!! It arrived in a thin paper box, almost open. Another piece of ... made in Ch.
