a decent product
the leather isn't as thick as my welding jacket, but this was also much cheaper cost and seems to stop the sparks well enough. all i wanted was to stop burning holes in my pants and also not be hindered by the long welding coats, this apron does the job. the straps aren't very impressive and i found it easier to put it over my head without unbuckling, but once on there isn't an issue. also it's nice that it's not covered in useless pockets to get full of hot sparks and grinding dust. over all it's worth the low asking price.

Huge piece of leather!
Wow, big piece single of leather, 48โ long, 32โ wide below the bib! Iโm 6โ2โ and will probably cut about a foot off the length. Soft and flexible but will probably change the straps to a littleโฆcertainly well worth the price!

Buy it for the apron knowing you're going to want to change the straps.
Nice apron, not just for welding, but also a good general use shop apron. It's funny, as a fabricator, I weld and cut a lot. But I don't wear an apron for that. I use it for grinding, wire wheeling, polishing, sand blasting, and things like that to keep the crud off. This apron is knee length (I'm 6'1) and covers from 7 o'clock to 4 o'clock around (40" pants and 285lbs)... perfect coverage. If you are much bigger, your gonna want longer straps though (more on that later). The chest pocket is also a perfect cell phone pocket so you don't have to dig your nasty hands into your pants to fish for it! I didnt want an apron covered with loops and waist pockets to get caught on stuff and to fill up with grinder dusk. But the one chest pocket is in a good spot to put the phone for listening to it or taking an speakerphone call. The leather is also the perfect thickness. Not too thick but plenty thick... about 3/32" and uniform. Why four stars? The straps! They are SO Chinese. For such an nice apron the straps absolutely suck. You'd expect a nice, smooth, soft 1" nylon webbing and decent hardware. Nope... cheap, plastic-feeling, 3/4" straps... a horrible criss-cross design... and a cheap buckle. And for merely pennies, they could have tossed in a bit more of the plastic strap because guys any bigger than me are going to find them too short. Seriously... charge me an extra dollar, make the straps 3' too long, and let us cut off the excess. Way easier than trying to extend your sewn together straps. So today, I'm cutting apart a 1" ratchet strap and making my own straps.... in a standard "neck loop and belt" pattern, using quality hardware. That done, I expect this apron will last for years.

Great fit, value
Got it a few days ago, mostly wanted "simple" and it is. Being tall, over 6' without any adjustment right away, from chest to feet, guessing 6" to my feet standing up, covers/protects better than I thought. For what it's made for in my mind, I couldn't be happier. Ironically I do wood working and welding, (yea dangerous combination) keeps the wood shavings from clinging to my clothes and weld spatter from burning me. Light weight for being whatever type of leather, but it's real leather, likely from china but what isn't? LOL. I highly recommend this leather welding apron (all purpose, really) ordered a 2nd already just so I'm not "without" if supply runs out or slow getting here.

Exceeds expectations
It's thick material. Kinda has a rough suede feel to it. I'm 5'6" and its maybe 5 inches from my shoes as far as length. I'm a 36 waist size and when I first put it on I set it to the largest waist size and it was loose. Maybe max waist 42. Wore it all day and only noticed it when I walked. It's thick and you'll kick it. Takes some getting used to. Have to completely remove if you need to use the bathroom.

Has weird strapping
I still haven't figured out exactly how to run the straps around your neck and arms. It's a little unorthodox and unusual. The quality of the leather is good as expected tho.

Great product
Great product. The nice part is it was long enough to give me the option to cut it off to the length of my choice. Very durable and comfortable

Does the job
Fits perfectly, although I'm a smallish guy, 5'7, 155 lbs. Does the job, could be a little thicker though.
