I love the SYNCWIRE brand for phone holders! I have this model along with their foldable aluminum arm version in my other trucks, and they are both fantastic. The best part is the mounting tape—it actually sticks to any surface and stays put. I’ve tried other holders, but the tape always fails on my bumpy dashboard. I’ve had this one on my Durango for 8 months now, and it’s still holding as strong as the first day. High quality and very reliable!

It works perfectly where I wanted to use it ... no problems at all

After trying several other (dashboard-type) devices to hold my phone, I finally found one I love! Bean bag holders are too intrusive to my line of sight and kept sliding off. Suction cup holders simply wouldn't stick to my car's curved dash. Another that I bought had an optional clip-on mount that attached to the A/C vent... again, it kept falling off, even after I applied a small layer of cushiony plastic tape to the grip clip -- plus it interfered with the air flow of air conditioning while driving. BOTTOM LINE: This little thing is awesome. It grips your dash, and the magnet grips your phone. It's like magic (And NO, I'm not being paid for this review.) Plus, when not using it, it's so small that you don't even notice it's there. IF YOU BUY - One caveat... Be sure to mark the exact placement of where you want the mount on your dash before you peel off the protective layer and stick it on. Same goes for the thin magnetic piece that goes on the back of your phone - or phone cover/case. You'll want to sit in the driver's seat and play around with it for a bit. You may even want to mark the spot on your dash (and the back of your phone) with some painters tape or something to make sure you get it right. I messed up on the first try, but fortunately, this product came with extra sticky pads. So I was able to remove the dash mount and, with the extra pad, place it in the correct spot for my car. Note that there are also two magnetic pads that attach to back of your phone; one is round and the other is a rectangular shape. I actually used both on my phone...placement of one is when I want my phone horizontal for GPS navigation and the other is more centered for when I want to stick my phone on the dash vertically. Sorry for this long review... but lastly, the magnetic pad(s) that attach to back of your device are super thin. In other words, they don't interfere in any way of everyday handling & using my phone. Kudos to whomever designed this thing :)

I like that it has a very strong magnet. However, I had a similar product in the exact same spot in my car. It’s been there for over six months. The magnet was very weak. Well, it was stuck on so good, I could barely get it off. This new one went on the exact same spot in my car. It’s only been a couple weeks and the sticky stuff is coming off the back of it. I think my phone may be too heavy for the sticky backing. Idk. It did come with an extra sticky thingy in case you need to replace it. So, I’ll try that, and hopefully it will work. Kind of disappointed that it’s already peeling off in such a short amount of time. Other than that, it’s sturdy and the magnets strong.

Recieved used item with the adhesive backing removed and mount stuck to the paper packaging inside the box. On top of that, the magnets do not even work with my magsafe phone, it just slides around and will not stick. You'll need to stick the ugly included metal plates onto your phone or case in order for the magnets to stick.

Your search for a phone holder stops here. So I was in the market for a phone holder, but I really didnt want to stick onto my windscreen (as it leaves marks) and also didn't want to put it onto a vent (because then your device heats up too) Lo and behold, syncwires genius gadget. It is a tiny thing, so it doesn't make your car look tacky, it feels premium and very well made. Only large enough to cover the magnet which is more than plenty. It blends naturally into your car and does not look out of place. It comes with 3m sticky pad to place it onto the surface so you can be assured of its strength when it's stuck on. I went with instructions and allowed it 24 hours to adhere. It's not going to come off easy if/when the time comes. Phone is very sturdy. The magnets are very strong, you won't feel a wobble and when you place it on, it will feel like it's clicked into place. There is no way your device will drop. The bearing feels really premium to move and position and it will hold whatever position you want it to stay in.
