I am a glasses-wearer and have a high prescription. After a decade of casual snorkeling, I finally decided to buy a prescription snorkel mask so I could actually see what was going on when I was snorkeling. I shopped around and expected to pay $200 to $300 for a prescription mask. Then I stumbled onto the ProMate. The low price made me suspicious, I figured the lenses would be cheap and not crisp, and the mask quality would be poor. I was wrong on both counts.My vision is great with this mask underwater. And it does not leak at all, to my surprise. It's a lot higher quality then I expected. I mean $60 for a prescription mask? My prescription lenses in my regular glasses cost $500!I added an extra star because GetWetStore was awesome. I first ordered the -5.0 lenses, but because I have a different prescription in each eye (and later read that GetWetStore would do customizations), I ordered another mask and specified two different lenses. A couple days later the new mask arrived, and I shipped the -5.0 mask back with no hassles and got a full refund.I would buy this mask again in a second.

This mask is heavier than my old mask due to the glass lenses. This is not a significant issue in the water, so no problems there. The viewing area is large. The side panels are opaque. The optics are good, and as an optometrist I am picky. I purchased one with a camera attachment that seems to work well. Overall this mask is a good value.

Great prescription mask for snorkeling.I got this for snorkeling and general beach shenanigans.I need 2 different diopter for my glasses (strength) and they were awesome working with me and replacing one of the lenses with the correct strength.With this I can see just as well under water as I do with my glasses normally, really making snorkeling so much more pleasurable.Awesome price for a prescription mask, can only recommend it.

The best customer service I have had in years. Very patient with my lack of knowledge, time difference (she called me) and advise.I needed prescription masks for my 11 year old granddaughter and myself who do not snorkel often and did not want to pay a large sum. I talked to the supplier of "getwetstore.com" who walked me through my needs. Because my trip was getting close she suggested that I order both a child's mask and adult for my granddaughter and could return which either I did notneed for a refund (The adult mask fit my granddaughter). I could not be more pleased.

I bought these so I could snorkel on my last vacation. I had just tried purchasing contacts only to find out none of them worked because my astigmatism was too strong. I know these don't correct for astigmatism, but I really couldn't tell the difference while swimming. This is way better than just taking my glasses off and hoping for the best, and several times cheaper than buying the contacts that didn't even fit right.

After checking some reading glasses at a drugstore, I figured that I needed about a +1.5X lens and this is what I ordered from Promate. Wow, what a difference these make compared to my normal mask! Instead of everything being a fuzz I can finally see so well, and yet this is without looking up my prescription numbers, (which are expired now anyway) or the extra expence of having custom lenses ground. The fit was terrific, and I am happy with the overall quality of the mask and it's materials and workmanship. I'll be happy to buy another one of these, should it get harmed somehow. They even sent it to me very quickly! They are low volume and the lenses are plenty large so that I don't feel like my field of view is too restricted. GREAT DEAL!

I appear to have received a different product than shown. The product I received was similar, but definitely not the same as the mask shown in this ad. More importantly, the product I received would not seal. I am returning.After searching a bit the mask I received looks more like an "Ocean Quest Arctic Clear" dive mask. (search amazon and you can see) The mask I received was visually different for example, in that it had a black plastic trim piece that ran vertically down the center of the mask (followed the nose)unlike all of the photos in this ad. This trim piece was about 3/8" wide running from top of mask down entire nose. Not certain, but it looks very similar to the other mask mentioned.Regardless, the problem with the mask I received is there is such a small amount of the soft sealing silicone material along the top edge of the mask that when you put the mask on your face the hard plastic part of the mask was hitting the center of my forehead before the soft silicone ever had a chance to seal against my forehead. Not only would it not seal, the hard plastic part of the mask hitting the center of my forehead actually hurt if I put just a little pressure there as would occur in the water.Lastly, I realize the shape of everyone's face is unique and that could explain the problem. Would just add that I have a fairly common shaped face and don't have any unusual facial characteristics. Having said that, I suspect that mask fitting is very unique to each person and the mask I received might work well for someone else.I am returning this product.

I purchased this prescription snorkel mask last month for my trip to Tulum, Mexico. My prescription is very strong, -8.0 in both eyes. I was tired of seeing things out of focus on my prior snorkeling excursions, so I decided to finally make the investment in a prescription mask. I was very satisiied with the product and the price. It fit well, although I did have to snug it up right against the bottom of my nose to prevent leaking. The prescription lenses are glued to the inside of the regular lenses that are fitted into the mask, but I did not have an issue with sand getting under the edges as a previous reviewer noted. My vision was very clear, almost as clear as with my glasses. I can't wait for my next tropical beach vacation!
