Second time buying this. I am a very skeptical person, and also very frugal. The first time I bought this I ordered the half size version for 16$. I bought this in an attempt to help me with two problems, one is my PTSD, the second is I am 2 months clean from opiates that the VA has had me on forever. This really helps manage my anger and anxiety, which is curious because some of the prescription meds I was on made it worse. I am grateful for finding this and happily give it a 5 star review.

Did what it was supposed to do. Would order again.

A great product for people new to kava

This product made me nauseated. Plus, it tastes terrible. Not for me.

I bought this particular product because I wasn't interested in spending time preparing Kava as it is needs in its more raw form. Big mistake. I really wonder what this stuff is. It is sweetened with Stevia to cover the horrible dirt taste that Kava has. I think there is more Stevia than Kava in this concoction. I tried a couple big doses, two or three heaping tablespoons each time and mixed it in with some chocolate soy milk. After gagging it down, the result was virtually nothing. No calming effect, no relaxation effect, nothing. I have used tinctures(glycerin based, not alcohol) in the past and found they are far more effective than this expensive junk. A huge waste of money and very disappointing. I would give less than a one star rating if that were possible. Don't but this junk. Just more snake oil.

This is a great "beginner" instant Kava as it mixes well and is flavored (vanila) and sweetened. While a little too sweet for my tastes it was not so sweet as to be off-putting. Fairly potent and the price is acceptable. While there are indeed better instant Kavas there are certainly many worse. Highly recommended for Kava noobs. Go a little heavier than their instructions, down a "shell" (roughly four ounces) every half hour until you hit the gumby-zone. You WILL feel it. Very relaxing, great for when socializing, or a nice way to quietly wind down after a stressful day. I would buy this product again if I wished to introduce someone new to Kava but for myself I now prefer to make my Kava the traditional way. To each their own. All in all this is a good product and it delivers what one would hope form an instant Kava beverage.

Great for beginners but I've learned there's better stuff out there but I do like it being istant. Just mix with my milk or ice coffee and shake and ready to go. Traditional blends take a little longer if you're on the run in the morning but have higher quality. For reference I got about 18-20 doses out of 8oz bag. Just wish it was stronger I was intending to get 32 doses but it just didn't have enough kick.

This creates a very weak concoction compared to many other instant and fresh kavas I've tasted.It additionally has additives to mask the flavor. The resulting taste retains kava flavor but also has synthetic, chemical-tasting vanilla.I was really disappointed.
