Takeda Stage-2 Cold Air Intake System w/Pro 5R Filter, #TR-1021B-R, Black

I bought this for my 2016 Honda EXL V6 because of reviews about the sound and gains. I have tried CAI before and was not impressed but decided to give this one a try. Boy was I surprised! it woke the car up, I could actually feel the difference in the power, I felt it more responsive on the low end and less of a jerk on the transition from 6 to 4 to 3 cylinders. And the sound is great, not too loud but growls a little at low speeds but when revving the engine higher like overtaking it sounds great! Install is a very simple 30 mins unless you want to take off all of the OEM intake (optional but I recommend it) then be prepared for a 2hr install but worth it.

This product is joke, is not the right proportion to fit my car, 2016 accord LX did a refund and they only trying to give me partial part of my payment like what is that. Not fair at all. How are you gonna say it fits my car but in reality it doesn’t because it doesn’t have the correct shape to fit my car. I will forward my complaint to whoever I need to in order to get my full refund back!!!!😡😡😡

Long story short: this intake is worth every penny. Using just some basic tools , I was able to install the filter with a very sturdy fit in about an hour. The results are amazing. The car sounds completely normal at low revs and while driving around normally. But when you put the gas down, it completely ROARS. My neighbor told me he heard me floor it more than a quarter mile away from our home. I can’t begin to describe how good it sounds. I did not like that Takeda expects you to completely replace the vacuum and coolant tubing with their hoses, which can be pretty difficult. Instead, I went to the auto parts store, bought a better fitting vacuum tube, and made a direct connection from the original vacuum line to the filter , without touching the original coolant line at all (saves a lot of hassle). The instructions are black and white , pictures are blurry, which was frustrating. Fortunately, the results are so amazing , I still give it 5 stars.

I bought this intake after watching a few reviews and installations from this brand and other in the same category. My goal was to liven up the driving experience without chopping the exhaust or making permanent modifications to the car. This intake achieved that goal, the sound of the engine is so much better in most situations, at low speeds it is impossible to tell it has an intake at all. But if you crack the windows and step into the throttle there is more air intake noise and a louder exhaust note that sounds great. Then, of course, as you floor it and get into V-Tech it transforms into a supercar sound! Absolutely exceeded my expectations on the sound of wide open throttle. Installation was a bit of a hassle for me however. I'm a novice under the hood and I have only basic tools like socket wrench and screwdrivers. I ended up making 4 trips to the hardware store to get my old air intake off and then to install this new one, I had to remove the throttle body and change coolant lines to ensure the correct fitment. This was a little more involved than I expected but in the end I did manage to get everything hooked up correctly, I definitely recommend a YouTube guide, and thankfully the Accord installation videos are pretty much identical. Overall now that it is installed I am very happy with the intake and would recommend it to anyone who is confidence they can install it themselves.

Just wanted to report a successful installation on a 2016 accord v6 sedan. I had a couple of issues with the OEM screws (my fault) and now they are stuck. I can never uninstall this without cutting off the lower screw. It bolts in securely to the battery bracket though so the shield is stable and does not rattle. Installation was sort of a pain even with youtube videos to help but is ultimately doable. It may be tougher to remove and install a hose that is hidden under some stuff if you have larger hands. Keep rags abundant to catch dripping coolant. Good luck. I took it out for an 11:30pm test drive on Eco with no traffic and got +2 mpg on top of what I estimated. Driving with a lead foot in Sport kills mpg really fast so watch out. So far so good, feels great and sounds great. I would recommend this mod if you have the money to spare but it is optional as performance gains are minimal and what you are really getting is the sound.

Great purchase made my 2014 Accord Coupe V6 even better. Performance mod I've done on the car, definatly can hear and feel a HUGE difference. Saw an increase in horsepower, takes off so much faster, and sounds awesome. If you step on it this thing roars! Easy instal and fairly inexpensive well worth the money. Aside from the performance gains, on the highway even at 75-80mph I get about 36mpg!! Provided I drive normally and don't fly around everyone which is waaaaay tempting after installing this bad boy. Worth the money for sure sounds great and love the increase in performance. Only complaint which is incredibly minor is the whistle from the intake kinda sounds a wheel baring going out! Great buy quality product!

Purchased this product on 6/17/18 via Amazon.com for my 2016 Honda Accord EXL. According to the manufacturer website, it stated siutable for 2013 to 2017. I followed the manufacture instruction to install the part. I relocated to CA two weeks ago ; on 10/3/18 brought my car for smog inspection: All function passed except the visual part failed due to air intake stick number does not matched. Called up the manufacturer and learned from the customer representative that part was not legal in CA. According to the manufacturer website, the information of the part was falsely advertised. Stay away from this manufacturer. They are selling illegal part and causing headache and financial loss.

i’ve gotta say, I was quite impressed with this air intake and the fact that it came a day before the expected delivery time. I put it on my 2015 Honda Accord v6 and at first I wasn’t blown away with it because I didn’t feel much of a power difference but after driving it for a few weeks and letting the computer make adjustments, the intake system definitely stood up to my expectations. The sound of the intake is a deep aggressive growl that sounds amazing when slowly moving up in the rev range. When down gearing it goes from practically silent to very loud which takes some getting used to but now I love it. My favourite part about it is when vtec kicks in. Not only do you feel a boost in power but also the crossover noise is incredible which is really nice for a Honda enthusiast like myself. installation was pretty easy, hardest part was taking out the factory air box. Very happy with this intake system and would 10/10 recommend.

Really good product but for the price swe paid it will be good to have a metal badge on it because the sticker on it is really cheap .. otherwise really good sound and good product I hope takeda will change the stickers for a metal plate whit the name on it...
