Fine starter
I bought this 4 months ago because I needed an inexpensive USB soundcard to get started with my new iMac. I have just moved from PC with Cubase to an iMac with Logic Pro X. I really wanted to get a Thunderbolt interface but there was just nothing around at the time - and still isn't now in my price bracket. In one sense I was very pleased because it worked immediately with no hassle set up and I was away learning Logic Pro. It was certainly a whole lot easier than when I started out setting up Cubase and an EMU soundcard on the PC years back - I build PCs for a hobby as well. The sound quality is fine - I use this as an interface between my analogue mixer and the iMac and so I don't use the mic or guitar inputs just the line inputs on the back. This is partly because it looks a whole lot neater in my set up to have the inputs from my keyboards, mics and guitars hard wired into the mixer rather than having to hot swap cables when and as I need them.My only regret 4 months down the line is that I didn't buy the Roland Quad Capture or some other equivalent with the midi in/out. I don't use midi from the DAW to drive my keyboards or vice versa very often as I prefer to play everything manually. However today I wanted to play and record a MIDI track using MIDI out from my Roland piano for a specific purpose and was frustrated.Still it's a very good starter product and would recommend it for that reason alone. I may have to upgrade soon.I would add that it's not very sturdy in build quality and I wouldn't recommend it for use out and about mobile recording with a laptop. I'd guess it wouldn't last too long - plug sockets and so on.

To get a great quality home recording you really have to invest cross ...
Records clean, Helped me with my interface. Still problems exist in regards to my other software and hardware. To get a great quality home recording you really have to invest cross the board but this helped me to experiment and play at home. The mic works especially well and I recorded some drums with it.

Sounds Right
Just got around to installing this Roland Tri Capture on my new W10 Laptop. Works well, clear sound easy connections and installation comes with Sonar LE cut down version which is fine. Jeff

Great interface for the price range.
I was in a quandary where I needed an interface pretty fast but didn't have enough money for the one I wanted.I bought this for a small project away from home and it worked flawlessly. Sonar is a decent enough DAW but I would recommend Pro Tools 10/11 if you're wanting to be a little more serious.Sound quality is great and the quality of the product is good too.The only issue I did have with it was conflicting drivers at one point where it just failed to work with any DAW on my computer, but this was easily remedied.
