are all probiotics the same no matter what the brand?

No, they are not all the same because not all probiotics have the same number of strains and only certain types of bacteria or yeast (called strains) have been shown to work in the digestive tract. The more strains in the probiotics the better. Check out "The Truth About Probiotics and Your Gut" webmd site for top probiotic foods.

About what size is this tablet? Thanks.

about the size of a regular aspirin and half as thick

I understand "True" probiotics are suppose to be refrigerated 24/7 to remain "alive". I'm thinking these are actually dead when delivered ?

It’s only after opening when refrigeration is necessary. Just like when you purchase in a store it’s not refrigerated.

Is this vegetarian or vegan? Or are there animal products in the ingredients?

The Acidophilus Probiotic 100 Million Organisms Tablets (B50978) are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
