My beloved partner struggles with back problems, and getting in and out of my Golf was a challenge for her. So I bought one of these for her. It drops into the door lock thingy just as the instructions say and makes it so much easier for her. I liked it so much I bought a second one for her car. And then a third one when she gave away the second one to a friend of hers who was suffering similarly.It's a solid chunk of metal, so no worries about durability, and has fitted all of the cars we've tried it on. Recommended!

It certainly does the job but for my car (which has wide doors) the positioning isn’t quite right.

It really is just a handle with no gimmicks, it won't break windows, cut seatbelts or make tea, but as a handle it does a fine job, it goes into the door catch easily & stays securely without wobbling alarmingly, you can put your whole weight on it, then it comes back out easily when you want it to & it's a lot lighter than the steel ones. It doesn't scratch the car either. The only limitation is that you can't pull upwards, there is a groove in it so it does offer some resistance if you tumble into the car but you can't rely on it staying put if you pull upwards.

This is simply a handle. There is no option to cut your seat belt and smash windows should you find yourself upside down in a river. I thought the chances of this happening to me in Reading were quite slim. The handle fitting is quite narrow and it fits easily in a Peugeot 308 which has quite a small door catch.The handle itself is a comfortable non slip grip and my mother has found it very handy when getting out of the car. Very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it.

A nice bit of kit which arrived promptly, unfortunatley does not fit the small u shaped bracket on my 2026 vauxhall combo life elec so has been returned

Lovely to be able hold onto it when getting into car and out do much easier to just hold onto it and safely get out and keep with me if out with Donnie daughter in no law so can use it

I bought this on recommendation from one of my friends who had also bought it for their mum. My mum is of an age where getting out of a car is difficult and when you don’t have strength and reaching up for a handle or no handle then it’s really hard for them to get out. This little gadget sits in the pocket of the car so it’s always handy and it really helps.

My elderly mom had begun having trouble getting in and out of our vehicles - just losing leg strength with age making it harder for her to situate herself when sitting down in a car or to get up and out when exiting. This little handle is great - it's very sturdy - the short steel handle inserted into the steel frame of the car door mechanism gives super strong support for even a heavier person to push down against to reposition themselves in the car seat or to help push up to standing when getting out. It makes such a difference! It's easily stored along the seat edge or in a car door pocket and takes just two seconds to grab and insert into place. I highly recommend it for anyone older with diminished strength or for someone recovering from surgery, etc. It's so useful that we've since bought several more to have in every family member's vehicle for anytime either of my elderly parents needs to get in or out.

Mi madre de 83 años tiene osteoporosis y tenemos que cuidar su espalda. Al ingresar al auto se dejaba caer al asiento ya que no tenía un soporte adecuado para sostenerse. Este pequeño utensilio le ayuda a subir y bajar con mayor ligereza, lo cual le aumenta calidad de vida pero principalmente seguridad. Lo recomiendo.

I wasn't sure about getting this at the time ,but so glad I have as I find our car been a Sudan a little hard to exit sometimes after a long journey,this makes it so much easier to stand with this handle you don't need to use the door to lean on this is much more stable and easy to use so glad I purchased it
