Chorus pedal on a budget
My first chorus pedal. It sounds great and does exactly what I need. Easy to adjust for different effects and responds well. It does have a plastic housing.... I'm sure I'll get many years of use from it. Just don't stomp on it. Hard to beat price with a known brand that I trust, with a sound familiar the same with a brand 5x as much money. Get it

Solid and sounds great! Fantastic for the price!
Behringer, like many other pedal makers out there, makes clones of other pedals. The difference is that Behringer isn't a greedy and doesn't as much or more than the original pedal. Most of Behringer's pedals are modeled on BOSS pedals and you can't go wrong with that! This one is a quality Chorus pedal and like with any good pedal, if you can't get great tone out of it the problem is with you. This is a full size (think BOSS) pedal. Some are overly critical of the plastic housing, but it's a solid housing and I can't imagine what you're have to do with it to break it. Speaking of which, have you ever seen a picture of a Behringer pedal with a broken housing? Me Neither.

BEHRINGER ULTRA CHORUS UC200 fail
BEHRINGER ULTRA CHORUS UC200 arrived and after reading the instructions I inserted a fresh battery and plugged my guitar into the unit and it into my Black Star amp. There was no change in the sound through the UC200 on or off, other than an intense clicking when all settings were to max. I unplugged my cables, pulled the battery and inserted the battery into my Ultra Metal UM300, plugged in my cables and test passed. Reset the UC200, double checked my connections and routing. No change in the sound. Contacted Amazon via link and I'm returning for exchange. I'll update if all goes well. Okay, here I am as I intended, making an update on the original review. THe return did not cost me anything but the time to package it and send it. I did get the replacement UC200 and it works very well. In fact, compared to units costing sometimes more than double I would say it is worth every penny. The return of the first UC200 was discouraging but only because of the delay. This design may be a less durable design, since the more expensive chorus effect units are metal cases and use a "snap" switch and this unit is a hard plastic/polymer and uses what could be considered a component micro switch. I don't know which type of switch would be more durable to repeated use but thus far where cost was the issue for me, I'm pleased with the sound effect it offers. I'm giving a 4 star not only because of the returned item, but I have some reservations as to the durability of the unit and how the design deviates from what has been a traditional and reliable design. Only time will tell how this unit holds up to my use of it.

Great value, could be better
CON: I was confused that the “level” knob is for the wet signal, the dry signal always stays at unity. You cannot affect volume at all with this pedal. So you can’t do “softer and with chorus” with this one petal. PRO: It adds a shimmer to my tone that makes long notes more satisfying. PRO: Low noise and preserves tone. PRO: Hyper-economical. It’s a 4 star pedal but for $25 I feel like I got away with something.

Not Bad for the Price. But Not Great
I own a Danalectro Milkshake Chorus pedal I bought on clearance from Sam Goody for like $15 in the 90s. It's not very versatile, but I was able to dial in the perfect chorus sound for how I play. It's also nearly 30 years old and beat to heck. So I was looking for a cheap replacement. My Behringer Ultra Metal pedal sounds fantastic, so I felt pretty confident in giving this a shot as well. I cannot dial in a good chorus sound on this though. It's decent enough with clean tone, but any kind of gain makes it sound like a heavy kazoo. While there's certainly some interesting odd things I can use it for, it's not well suited for what I typically use chorus for. It's odd, because I also own a Behringer multi FX pedal and the chorus on that is one of the few things it does really well. Unfortunately that pedal wigs out on my pedal board chain, so it's no good for my FX chain. But I know from that Behringer can do chorus very well. So it's strange that this pedal misses the mark. Settings go from an almost unnoticeable chorus effect, to a nearly laughably exaggerated one with just a slight nudge of the dials. Which is ironically how most of the other effects on the multi-effect pedal other than chorus and tremelo are. At any rate, this is an okay starter chorus pedal for a beginner for how cheap it is, but it's no good at all for serious playing. Especially metal music. Unless you want some seriously heavy kazoo riffage.

Happy So Far
I have a Digitech RP255 run to a Blackstar HT5 head. I paid extra to get a tube amp because I read they sound much better than solid states (I've had several solid states). I found the Digitech colored the sound no matter what I did. I couldn't get a true Blackstar clean unless I went to 'Bypass', which then I wouldn't be able to add single effects. I'm sure it's capable of doing what I want, but I don't want to go through the hassle. Thank God for single pedals! This chorus pedal is actually quite nice. It goes from basically off to a crazy vibrato type sound. Pretty shimmery in between. I'm glad that there is something that sounds this good that doesn't cost a fortune. I'm done with the Digitech pedal, simple is better. As far as everyone crying about it being plastic, It's $25, get over it. If you want a metal housing then spend $50+ more on a Boss. Also, they might be called 'Stomp Boxes', but you don't have to actually stomp on it, a tap of your foot is plenty to turn it on.

Cheap. Sold it
Enjoyed it for about 2 days then realized it was cheap in every sense. Love my quality built, pro level multi effects board. Save your money until you can afford what you really want. At least I could return this for a full refund.

Great addition to my pedal board
Great chorus. Can't believe the performance for such a low price. Range of chorus effects is more than adequate. Used in conjunction with a compressor it produces warm analogue like results. Very pleased

Great pedal for the price !
Even though its plastic on the pedal top.. overall it is quite strong. Great for home / studio or live applications as a backup.. Sound quality is great too. Only issue is the battery is placed under the pedal after opening. Drains quickly . Best be used with suitable AC 9v adapter for continuous power supply.
