Simpson Strong-Tie ETB8 ETB 1 in. x 16 in. Nylon Hole-Cleaning Brush

I purchased these because the description said Steel but, it turns out that the rod is steel but the bristles are plastic.I purchased these to brush out some anchoring holes in concrete for the stated size of this brush but after one whole the bristles were bent flat on one side which I felt was more of a defect but, the item does work and the steel bristles brush I tried was harder to get in and out of the hole and seemed to get damaged even faster and was a whole lot more work.Since I haven't found anything else and it's what the anchor bolt manufacturer sells then I guess it's great.

This is a plastic brush. Mine lasted about 5 minutes.

Good for cleaning out holes after you drill concrete

This is the brush, specified and manufactured by Simpson Strong-tie. It performs exactly as needed when used as directed. Using power tools to brush holes will shorten the life of the brush, but expedite the cleaning. A steel wire brush is only specified for use when cleaning holes that will be receiving SET-3G epoxy for setting anchors when specified by the engineer. Most applications will call for SET-XP and this is the brush when that is what is specified. The success of an epoxy installation will hinge on how well the hole is cleaned. Make certain you have an air nozzle tip the extends to the bottom of the hole and that you brush and blow, brush and blow, until no dust comes out.

Worked well to clean drilled holes (3/4") in bedrock for epoxed anchor install. 1 side if bristles did seem to flatten for some reason, hence 4 stars. tight fitting, coupled with compressed air cleaned out my holes just fine.

ordered three of these hoping that they will arrive at the promised date and use them in our project. Not only that they arrived too late (next day) but they are not steel brush.DON'T BUY THIS if you're looking for wire brush.
