Monster Jam, Official Mega Grave Digger All-Terrain Remote Control Monster Truck with Lights, 1:6 Scale, Kids Toys for Boys and Girls Ages 4-6+

UPDATE. 16 months after receiving the toy. The toy is still operating just as good as the first day we ran it. My 5.5 yr old grandson runs the toy over rocks, gravel, pine cones, sticks, thick grass, short grass, jumping sloped concrete curbs, wet surfaces, grassy slopes, asphalt and concrete surfaces, running into trees, parked cars and small puddles of water. Before use, I tighten the wheels and all other screws on the toy. I fully charge the toy. We have had absolutely no problems with this toy. I did lengthen the inside antennae about four inches. This has had a definite affect on the toy's distance from the remote control. I am very surprised how far away the toy will operate now. We have yet to run the toy until the toy battery is dead. After a full charge we have been getting over one hour of run time. However, I did tweak the toy electronically. I wouldn't do that unless you have some sort of circuit board and or computer hardware knowledge. The foam tires are holding up very well due to the fact I sprayed a certain clear hardening compound on the tires. My grandson loves to "crew chief" his Monster Truck. I read a lot of reviews. I mainly read the one and two star reviews and some of the more favorable ones. It's a toss up whether you receive a functioning item or not. I decided to go ahead and purchase this Grave Digger Monster Truck, Version 2. I received the toy in two days. The box was huge for a toy. I read all the instructions and checked all screws, wires, connectors, wheels and so forth BEFORE charging or operation. I charged the toy and it took about 32 minutes to get the full charge signal. I took my 5.5 yr old grandson out to the Air Force base where I retired from the Air Force in 1994. One of the parks was completely empty of people with lots of green grass open space. After some "pre flight" checks and instruction, I let him have at it. I was quiet surprised that the toy lasted almost one hour of run time (not constant but total). He ran over pine cones, bumped into horseshoe pits, trees and at least two family members and a stationary BBQ grill. He jumped the toy on some small bumps along the way. He definitely ran it through it's paces. I believe I was more happier and excited than he was. It was one of the more enjoyable days I have had in a while. It was worth every penny to see and experience that. A few days after receiving the toy and operating it, I contacted Spin Master regarding if they sold parts for this toy in the event I may need a part later on. The rep advised they do not sell parts. EBAY has some parts, however very expensive and not worth it given the overall fail rate for the toy. When I purchased the toy, I also purchased a two year "warranty" ($9.00) in the event it failed to function or "other" reasons past the 30 day return offer. That may be a waste of money as well given the fail rate of the toy. We'll see how all that works out in the event the toy fails. I believe the manufacturer or Amazon offered a 30 day return policy. After each use, I tighten all screws, check the wiring, wheels and ensure the short antennae wire (located on the power box inside the vehicle) is strait up and secure. The wheels take a lot of abuse and only one short screw secures the wheel and tire to the toy. Hard knocks at angles may break the wheel off where it attaches to the toy. It's all in the preventative maintenance and charging. However, I can see why so many people report failure from the beginning. It is a large toy, however it's a super lightweight delicate toy. After one month of almost daily use, it's still going strong. At some point, I will begin modifying the toy to get additional performance, further distance from the remote control, strengthen the suspension and wheel attachment to the vehicle an so on. My grandson (and I) love the toy and that's really all that matters to me. We do maintenance together. The toy does require an adult to perform all the tasks I mentioned above. If not, you may get earlier failure at some point.

I NEVER spend over 100 for something I was skeptical about but since reading the reviews with some being not so good. I took the risks. And I am absolutely happy I did! My son loves his new monster truck and has so much fun with it! The battery lasts at least somewhere around 45 min to an hour depending on how long you charge. (We leave it charging overnight or until it’s done then we unplug it) the quality is good, durable! The control on it from the controller is great! The speed! It goes fast! Overall worth it!

This thing is pretty bad A for the money. It made a wonderful birthday gift for my son. It is pretty fast on fresh charge. It holds its ground pretty dang good. The remote is simple and easy to control. The tires are foam and pretty durable but they can be wrecked by a dog or if an adult tried to stand on them or something. It can move over grass but loses a little traction when there. We have bombed steps with it, climbed those same steps, crawled rocks, and raced some of the big kids toys. It is a ton of fun. The frame is lightweight plastic and light enough for my son to handle it himself. The size is pretty significant. The drive system is really simple as is the suspension. Nothing crazy to break or need to repair with special tools. Very easy toy. Keep it away from the bitey dogs. I had a GSD bit one of the tires and I needed to glue it back up. But, its holding strong and my sons are having a blast.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ We bought this giant monster truck as a Christmas present for our son, and it was a huge hit. He had seen it before and was really hoping to get it, so the excitement was real—and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The truck is big, impressive, and beautifully designed, yet surprisingly lightweight, which makes it easy for a young child to lift, carry, and reposition on their own. That alone is a big plus. The remote control works smoothly, and the truck responds well, making it very fun to drive. We’ve played with it both indoors and outdoors, including on grass, and it performs great. It handles different surfaces well, does fun jumps and little tricks, and feels genuinely exciting to use. Most importantly, it’s something our son can play with independently, and he’s clearly proud to show it to his friends and play together with them. The quality feels solid and well made, and overall it’s definitely worth the money. It’s a great toy for active play and works well even for a younger child who wants something cool and “big.” The only downside—and the reason for four stars instead of five—is the battery life. After charging for about an hour or more, it lasts roughly 20–30 minutes of continuous outdoor play. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of, especially if your child wants long outdoor sessions. Overall, we’re very happy with this purchase. It’s a fun, high-quality toy that encourages independent play and brings a lot of joy. I would absolutely recommend it.

Bad quality overall, tires made of foam, headlights barely hold to frame, the suspension is made flimsy and likely to brake, the whole thing made to not last. Used once and it won’t charge at all regardless of what charger is used. Won’t work at all. Waste of time and money.

My kid loves this toy, I had to find a usb charger that I could part with, as the little bugger is constantly playing with it and needs to recharge the battery - which lasts about an hour. The headlights do work, although are for more look, than function, the front wheels have a extensive range of motion, and is a lot of fun to watch the kids and dogs chase after it. There was no assembly, only to locate the charge cable (which is a tad short IMHO) and plug that into a USB charger. The speed of this toy is fast, and on most surfaces it's able to remain constant, the tires do chip easily - especially on rocks and rough surfaces.

Bought mine October 14th 2019 and here it is, still performs perfect 👌🏽. I upgraded the battery to a 20v rechargeable battery, have about 6 batteries, now it lasts for days before needing a charge for just 1 battery, outstanding. Installed a buck converter in the charger base so when 20v battery is plugged in the output is exactly 9.650 volts 🤙🏽 all plug and play. Anyways, feels good having a piece of history, awesome truck. Added front and back fog lights for night driving. Gonna pass down to my kiddos when I know they will take care of it, not cheap... Enjoy

Nos encanto el carro, excelente tamaño mi hijo tiene 7 años y le gusto mucho, dudaba por algunos comentarios que decían que era frágil y las llantas mala calidad, pero a mí se me hizo súper bien, lo usamos en casa y en tierra y sigue en perfectas condiciones, tiene muy buena velocidad, es un carro muy ligero definitivamente muy buena compra y el precio más bajo que en tiendas 👏🏼👏🏼
