Perfect to cover wounds
Our aging dog is struggling with pressure sores on all her pressure points but her elbow on one side was particularly bad and no matter what I did, I couldn’t keep any kind of protective dressing on it. I tried this out of desperation and it has been well worth the money. It went on very easily and it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. On the size chart, she would have been a medium based on her measurements but she’s a bigger dog so I got the large and I’m glad I did. The straps tie nicely around her body without being too tight and the sleeve itself fits her arm perfectly! This has been a big help to keep the floor or ground from rubbing her elbow and making it worse.

Durable, effective, and easy to use.
Perfect for protecting a dog from getting to a hotspot or wound. Our German Shepard lab mix (70 pds) wears the XXL size on her front right leg to protect from licking and scratching a surgery wound. It’s worked great for the 3 weeks we’ve kept it on her to ensure protection. It fits snugly and comfortably around her front and under her belly with two strings. We’ve washed the sling 5-6 times now and still has held up great. Reflective strip also gives some extra visibility for walks. Not intended at all for support or as a compression. This is essentially a single pant leg to keep a dog from getting to a spot while still keeping the wound open to the air so it can heal the fastest. This is important because bandaging and covering a wound slows the healing process and thus this allows the best of both worlds, because honestly, your not going to be able to ask your dog to trust you and just not lick that cut or wound.

Got for my very big/tall cat
So I got the medium short for my cat that had gotten a minor surgery on his shoulder and REALLY did not like the bodysuit he was supposed to wear (actually chewed holes in it trying to escape it) and would absolutely lose his mind over e-collars to the point he'd likely hurt himself. Plus the site needed covering because of him and other cats.Figured he'd need medium because he's a BIG cat, even if not fat. Idk I feel kind of like it just was like there was A LOT of string to it but I probably could have still did fine with the small short but dealt with less string? We did figure it out for how to tie it on him for it both in a way that he wouldn't be able to get out of the thing or get at the string to mess with it, but also not be bothered by it from it being too tight. It is string though so I did wonder how much it was annoying with how thin it was and checked often to make sure it didn't dig in anywhere.Of course either way Tater Tot wasn't happy with it, but he still tolerated it a lot better than an e-collar and suit and glad I was able to find something for him since before I had just used some sleeves I cut off an old shirt and make a makeshift shrug for him to keep off the incision.I know this was "for dogs", but there hadn't been a lot of choices for cats, Especially cats that are starting to get near the height of a medium-sized dog, needs sleeves, and is actually decent at being able to keep them from escaping. But Sleeve size itself could have been bigger for the medium since it seemed pretty snug on him still, and there was just.... A lot of string.Still helped, but maybe could have been better if at least a bit wider sleeved

Works for my 80lb lab mix - update, string broke
Update: after less than 2 weeks, the one string broke where it is sewed to the blue body part. I ordered an extra large as a back up and glad I did because this happened! What’s the warranty? It was not tied tight. Strings should be thicker and double sewed for durability. My lab mix is 80 lbs. and suffers from hygromas on his right leg (he won’t sleep on the 6 dog beds, prefers the cold floor). I’ve used numerous rolls of sports wrap (sticks to itself not his skin or fur) along with gauze pads and I even tried socks that I cut at the bottom. I have medicine from our vet, but the bandages and sock would slide down in a few hours. I measured the top part of his leg and purchased based on the size chart. It fits great and he looks comfortable. I still use the gauze pads for extra protection as this product is not very thick. He’s unable to lick his wound, so it should heal much faster. The ties that go around his body could be thicker, but so far so good. I’ll sew new thicker ties on, if needed. He’s 33” around from the back of his front legs and the large fit perfect. The very top of his leg is almost 11”. The fabric is somewhat stretchy, so it’s easy for me to add the gauze after it’s on from the top not the bottom, bottom is like jogger pant legging...stretch it a bit if your dog has large paws like mine. Thank you! Finally a solution. I was hesitant to buy based on reviews, but am so glad I did. I will hand wash and hang dry in case of shrinkage.

Excellent job of coving wound but overpriced.
We had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who developed a hot spot. Be8ng on her shoukder it needed to be protected from her back foot scratching it causing further irritation. I ordered this to help keep it bandaged. It works fine, washes, but to me it was a bit pricey for what we got.

Really great product for arm wounds
This product is amazing. My lil man had a nasty fungus wound on his upper arm that just wouldn’t heal. This sleeve made it possible to protect his wound and take off his cone for supervised grooming sessions. HIGHLY recommend.A note: my cat is pretty big (8 kg) and the medium was a bit loose as pictured here. Small was perfect.

We ordered according to the chart but didn't fit well , but it would have had it been a bit bigger. Would still order again if needed in future

Good, but buy a cone too
Overall, the protect works great for keeping debris out of wounds on the legs to facilitate healing. I ordered the XXL for my 70LB Malinois.Unfortunately I had it for 24 hours before my dog chewed right through it to lick her elbow (pressure wound). You HAVE to supplement this with a cone if your dog is prone to chewing...
