Pretty disappointed
So, a couple of things about this book that was pretty disappointing. First, this isn't really a story book, this was a collection of snippets from book one in Behs POV. I thought this was going to be the full story, just in Behs POV. So, that was a HUGE bummer. Second, considering this is only 9 chapters, and it's just odd snippets of Behs POV, I'm bummed I paid 3 bucks for it. Lastly, the ending was very abrupt and out of the blue. After I finished reading this i was like......that's it, where's the rest of the book. Scratch that, where's the FULL retelling of their love story in Behs POV. Transcendence is hands down my favorite by Shay Savage, the story, and the love was executed flawlessly in it, so I had VERY high hopes for Behs POV telling in Luffs only to be sorely disappointed and feeling like I threw 3 bucks of my money in the trash. Sorry, but this was a complete let down.

Very disappointing
Rating this book is painful for me! I love, Love, LOVE Transcendence, so when I learned of this book; in Beh's POV, I was so excited!!! I have done so many buddy reads and re-reads of Transcendence, I did another when I learned this was coming out, just to prepare for the awesomeness of Ehd and Beh.How disappointing! This book doesn't really give us her POV because of how it jumps around. There were so many important events in her life that I wanted to have her thoughts on and it skimmed or didn't even touch on them.Probably my most disappointed novella ever. *painful*

Wait--What?
The unique, bordering on brilliant, approach of Transcendence involved Ehd never understanding one word Beh said for their entire time together and the inherit comedy that resulted from that in combination with a tenderness and love that grew in spite of their lack of verbal communication. I wasn't sure what to expect from this sequel, but it started almost in mid-sentence--very jarring, abrupt, with no build-up--more or less regurgitated everything from Transcendence, adding very little extra detail, jumped around in time in a confusing and uninteresting way, and ended as abruptly as it began, without even mentioning other major events which had happened in Transcendence involving another tribe. This was a very disappointing offering, a huge letdown, and it should have been 99 cents, at the very least, since it was such a super-short novella. Oh, well. Can't win 'em all.

It needed ... more.
I absolutely adored the first book. I’ve re-read it multiple times, and I was on the edge of my seat for this novella in Beh’s POV. Unfortunately, I am sorely disappointed.I understand Luffs is a novella, and reading the first book is an absolute must, but there were times were I was trying to place what was happening because the chapters were so random. None of them transitioned together well, it was very choppy and didn’t flow nicely at all when reading.Savage time jumped throughout the book so much that it became bothersome. At one point I had to use what knowledge I had from reading Transcendence to figure out how long it had been between chapters in the timeline because it wasn’t mentioned. So many of the major points in the first book weren’t visited at all. Lah’s birth, Lah getting sick, Beh’s father appearing for the first time, Beh’s attack, the other childrens’ births, meeting their new tribe, the children finding their mates, and much more. I desperately wanted these scenes in Beh’s POV, and I’m gutted I didn’t get it. Then at 81%, it ends abruptly. It wasn’t planned out nicely at all. The remaining 19% was filled with blurbs from the authors’ other books which was pointless, and irritating.I thought I would adore this book like I did the first, but in the state this novella is in, it really wasn’t needed and I wish I never read it. It let me down. The price was ridiculous for what we got, and that says something since 2.99 isn’t even expensive. I understand the author needed it at 2.99 so she could get her 70% royalties with Amazon (get your money, love!) but man, there should have been ... more.I gave two stars simply because I love the characters, and the cover for the book is beautiful.

Long awaited.. such a disappointment!
It pains me to give this story such a low rating. I, like many others, have waited YEARS for a companion story to Transcendence - even before the book was published!!Sadly, Luffs is a very big disappointment. The narrative is clunky and rushed, it feels like the author is trying to get it written and done as soon as possible!! It jumps around in time with very little flow and has none of the humour and heart of Transcendence. The chapters cover none of the key areas that so many people were wanting to hear Elizabeth's POV on which is very disappointing also. The ending is far too abrupt and leaves you feeling like you took nothing away from the book at all.I suspect that this book was written more to appease (and quiet!) the fans who have been begging for it, rather than the author truly wanting to revisit these characters and sadly that comes across loud and clear. The beauty of Transcendence is that the author builds a beautiful world that you can become immersed in whilst you folld Ehd and Behs journey. That's completely lacking with Luffs. It's a great shame as this could have been a wonderful companion novella with so much potential. If someone is reading this review having read Transcendence, not sure whether to purchase this book also, I would have to recommend they not bother. The ending of Transcendence is perfect and honestly, Luffs adds nothing more to the story which is a great shame, it answers none of the questions we were all asking. Also, for the scant 9 chapters (very short ones at that!!) it is very expensive for what it is.I was expecting so much more from an author who's work I have never failed to enjoy before.

That's it! Disappointing
Very disappointing, this could easily have been an epilogue in transcendence book, what a waste of money. Dont get me wrong it was nice to read snippets of Beth's point of view but that all it was snippets, it left big gaping holes from the original story as totally missed the big part of Beth feeling when her baby was ill. This could no way be a stand alone book you need to of read transcendence first.

Don't. Just... Don't.
I loved Transcendence. It was beautifully written and, unique. Luffs was... Not. It was like a collection of random scenes cobbled together into an extremely short package and released without the input from a single beta reader let alone an editor. If it had been 99p, I could have forgiven a lot and just enjoyed the collection of random snippets but for what it cost?! A complete waste of time.

Don’t waist your money
As other reviewers have said , this book adds nothing to the beautiful story of Ehd and Beh .Let’s just say it’s a good job Ehd can’t talk , as I don’t think he would like the vacuous, ‘snickering ‘ Beh.Just don’t bother .

Caveman...
How do I rate this??? 3 stars because I'm on the fence. It's well written and I love these characters and Transcendence.Firstly, I never though writing anything from Beth's POV was necessary. Apparently a lot of Shay's fans wanted it, so she did it. I was therefore expecting something a bit - more...The story seemed to have been written in bits and I felt it didn't flow and thoughts were repeated from chapter to chapter. The writing was of course excellent and you really get into Beth's head space. Unfortunately I didn't find out anything I didn't already know or guess from the original book. This novella was just a very short, rehash of random scenes, although in the correct time-line and from Beth's POV. I liked that I could finally picture Edh a bit better, which is probably all I got out of this companion story.Do I regret buying this novella? No of course not. Was I a bit disappointed - yes. I was expecting something a lot longer when it was first announced the book had been written, although I knew the length before I purchased it. The last 25% was blurb for her other books however.Everything above said, I enjoyed reading this little story and actually didn't move, or put it down until I finished it. 🙂 I was going to re-read Transcendence before reading this, but I didn't. I am now going to read it again anyway, and now I really want to as it's been 4 years! By the way, don't read "Luffs" before Transcendence!!! It's NOT a stand alone.
