Sturdy / good looking hardware, questionable instruction book
The hardware looks just like in the photo and is very heavy duty, it will certainly stand up to the use it will get.I was prepared to rate as 4 stars due to missing pieces and the instructions are a tad cryptic, however, the seller was fantastic in response to the missing pieces and quickly replaced the missing items without any hassle. The instructions...well...as you start putting it together it becomes more clear, however, my recommendation is to prep on the floor ahead of trying to hang anything so you understand what all pieces are needed and what the end stage will look like. This pre-build process also helps to ensure you have all the right pieces before getting started as well as making sure you use all of the washers, screws, etc where they are needed. As others have posted, we ended up installing a 1x8 "header" on the wall for the hardware to hang from - this was a much sturdier way to hang especially when you are not able to hit studs with each pre-drilled hole. The hardware looks great and we are very happy with the purchase.

Our new garage doors are perfect.
The installation instructions are a bit wanting, however the product itself is excellent. We have a four-panel garage door which was installed perfectly using Homacer.

Looks solid when finally completed but will likely be a tricky install...
So this took almost a week straight for me and a handy friend to figure out. It's not really the fault of these Homacer rails, its just there are SO many MORE factors that you haven't considered (and we did our homework).Since you buy your own doors separately if they at too thick these decorative bolt ends may bump against each other, any slim but present trim around your door jamb may almost catch and hinder the doors for sliding, if your floor as any give to it making it not 100% level evening out the rails is all the more difficult. As someone else stated expect to buy more washers, longer bolts, shorten bolts etc, you will tinker with this A LOT, unless your home just lines perfectly (but I doubt it). Hell if your studs don't line up spaced like the pre-drilled holes in the rails, expect to be opening up your walls to re-enforce like we did. I could go on and on ;)It's really just a function of the complications of so many factors and a lot A LOT of tweaking, expect to need a ratchet drill set, a dremel if you're shortening bolts, etc. My door space was extra large at 4.5 feet wide too, so that added complication. Adding in dual rails just makes it way more complicated due to the variables listed above. If I had to do this all over again, I would still go rail system but on ONE rail with an extra large door. Also potentially buying a rail system where one could drill their own holes through the metal since as discovered in older homes wood studs don't always line up evenly and you wouldn't want this to fall out of the wall.

love this kit
We have installed our bypass double barn door kit and the doors onto the tracks. I would recommend this kit. It is so sturdy. The only issue that came up was that we needed additional spacers once the doors were installed onto the track. After contacting the company they quickly sent spacers. Our opinion is that the spacers should be included with the bypass barn door kit.

Good quality. Pain to instal. Missing parts.
Poor instruction manual. It arrived with wrong parts. I had to make multiple trips to Home Depot to find the parts that were not shipped. Instructions are hard to follow and have inaccurate measurements on one page. Pictures are tiny and low quality resolution-simply useless.

Product description is accurate
Installing a rail for bypass doors is no easy task. However, they provide step by step directions for installation. The hardware is what we expected. We are still building the barn doors. We will post a picture once they are hung. We love the bold dark look of the rails!

Good bypass track kit for the money
This is our third barn door installation and the first time using a bypass track kit. We read all of the reviews and saw many times that others had to buy extra washers due to a flaw in the design or spacers that are just not part of the kit but should be. Our kit arrived without any instructions but we mocked up as we went along and performed sanity checks along the way. One sanity check revealed with the door roller bracket on the inner track, the bolt head would hit the the bracket that supports the outer track. After a little trial and error with some washers we determined we needed seven 1/4 inch washers stacked behind the inner track and the stand. Seven were needed since only using three or five still caused the bolt head to contact the bolt head of the bracket. See attached pictures. The washers sell in packs of 25 for around $2.50 at Home Depot so the problem was solved for five bucks. Given the cost of the kit it should include longer stands for the inner track that properly center everything under the brackets for the outer track. However, this is really the only flaw in the kit and you could not buy all of the metal, shape it, and get it powder coated for what this cost. The end product looks great and functions as designed.
