These are great! Nice and salty, plump, good flavor. First time purchase, but these will be my go-to salted black beans. Very fairly priced.

I TAKE THEM OUT OF THE PLASTIC BAG, AND TRANSFER THEM INTO A GLASS MASON JAR. THEY STAY FRESH WHEN REFRIDGERATED. I ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER TO THEM AND SMASH WELL, MAKING A PASTE BEFORE USING. Couldn't get to our usual Oriental market because of Covid-19, so we were happy to get these online! These are bigger packages than our market usually carries, so great! We have a number of favorite recipes which call for these beans and we can now rest assured we can enjoy them. Not sure what "thickness" as a review item has to do with the product - larger package? "Sheerness" ?????? There is nothing sheer about salted black beans. Amazon, you are nuts!

I had a local market here which sold these for $0.65 per bag for years and years and then massively raised the price to a shocking $0.85 per bag which compared to this vendor's prices is essentially free. They are massively over priced here, but they are the best brand and my local shop went under. Perhaps they didn't charge enough for beans!

I was wanting Fermented Black Beans that have a real flavorful punch to them. These were not very flavorful at all. Our recipe for Beef with Shining Noodles Soup, has always been a favorite. The previous brand I used would almost make you choke while stirring them in hot oil. These I couldn't even smell any fragrance at all.
