I have changed this to a 5 star review from the original 3 stars.The main reason I I have for changing this, is because seeing as this was my first time using a glass file I hadn’t really known what to expect. Since my first review I ended up purchasing different glass files from Amazon. The others I had purchased were etched on both sides and the size of a regular file/emery board. However despite receiving several in the set two were broken in little pieces inside their hard cases. Plus they were worthless. They made my glossy nails dull and rough. Luckily this little amazing file saved the day and fixed my nails bringing back that beautiful glossy shine it is so good at doing. I am glad I had the opportunity to compare it to others I thought would be really good. All glass nail files are NOT created equal and just because the price tag on this little bad boy is so low, Do Not for one minute think this is a cheap worthless file. You will be absolutely amazed at the shiny gloss your nails will have when you’re finished. I also think the more and more I use this, the more efficient I become, the easier it becomes to attain that nice shiny gloss. I have learned my lesson, I really like this glass file and believe me it’s amazing.If you’re reading this review it can only mean you’re on the fence about purchasing this. As I said do not allow that tiny product or price tag to fool you into believing you get what you pay for, that’s not the case at all, this little thing is amazing, and you should just get it. It’s not possible to be disappointed in this product. *Original Review*I don’t want to be unfair in my review, and perhaps I am by only giving this product 3 stars. I will begin with what’s good about it and why you may want to try it.It’s shipped extremely fast with Prime and you will have it within a day or two. This is my first time every trying a glass file so I wasn’t sure how it was supposed to look or feel besides the pictures and description. It comes in a small box wrapped in plastic inside a velvet pouch.It certainly works and your nails will appear as though they’ve recently been painted with a glossy clear topcoat.As I stated it does work however it requires work and a little time. It’s shorter than a regular file or Emory board and a bit thick. It has a little weight to it but it is glass so it’s not exactly like an Emory board. Only one side has the ridges and the other side is quite useless. Perhaps that’s how a glass file is and only one side is useful, I don’t know. If both sides had been functional or if you received a two pack then this would be a great product. However the fact that it’s small and the one useful side isn’t quite that coarse makes me believe that in the long run I will need another one sooner rather than later. Next time I will pay a little more to get a little more.

This nail file is amazing. I was skeptical when I first got it because it’s short and doesn’t feel rough enough to do any good. Due to the quarantine I had to remove my S&S nails which damaged my nails. Using this file and another product I purchased on Amazon, I was able to nurse my nails back to health. I also used it on my newborn grandsons sharp nails. We were able to file them down while he was sleeping with no discomfort or fear of cutting him with clippers.

Smaller than expected but does the job

So it’s been a month and really love how well this specific product works! It actually allows the user to get into the deep edges and corners of the nails. I have tried a few others and they do well but not like this guy, with a more rounded tip you can’t get the full surface area of the nail, the corner edges work best, which is why I chose this one. I love how shiny my nails are, and how well it files the breaking edges of my nails, they haven’t broken in over a month.

I've only ever used metal nail files and they really stink, in my opinion. I am a guitarist and needed something to keep my nails in shape for playing so I bought this. I actually use it most on my toes for buffing as I wear sandals most of the time. They make them look sparkling clean and the file is so easy to use. It's also packaged so neatly and thoughtfully. I love this purchase and am so glad I can add this tool to my kit!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I received this as a gift, loved it, then lost it! Assuming glass files are all the same, I bought a multi-pack from another vendor with 2 sides, coarse and “fine.” Right away even the fine side didn’t buff to a shine and I had edge snags several times a day. I then ordered this brand, one side is smooth glass and the other has the finest grit which polishes so well. No more snags!

This was tiny.... Not happy with this for at all. Doesn't really file either.

You might need some time to get used to use it. Price is awesome! Also its thickness and size is for easy to use. I just put it in my bag and carrying everywhere and put them in drawers all over at the home for convenience. Also I just buy them for my friends instead of thank you cards.
