Vital and useful
This is a much needed text using CACREP standards in assessing the role of career development and counseling in multicultural settings. It is well organized and thoughtfully laid out. Ms. Tang writes with verve in discussing all the key topics that career counselors w!ill be interested in. Well done.

Full of highlights
I realize that this book was marked "acceptable" but the prior owner highlighted 85% of the book, so it is very difficult to read and impossible for me to make any notes myself. The savings was not worth it.

Poor grammar makes it hard to read.
Poor grammar continually interrupts the flow of the text, distracting from the content and making it difficult to get through. I've never seen such substandard editing outside of self-publishing.

Detailed yet readable
"Career Development and Counseling: Theory and Practice in a Multicultural World (Counseling and Professional Identity)" by Mei Tang is a detailed textbook with a nice workable presentation. It is a textbook that is useful in a classroom setting but also a reference book. It is also readable which is a feat in itself.

Yet another needlessy expensive, poorly written textbook
Poor grammar, dry, boring, unclear, not minimally copyedited. And of course unreasonably expensive.

Underwhelmed
Unfortunately I was quite underwhelmed by this offering. It's okay as a career development and counseling overview and okay for multicultural but does neither very well. I was expecting something new and refreshing but instead, this is basically the same information you would get anywhere with a slightly different focus. Overall redundant to what is to be found everywhere.
